Unlikely. Roloson has been a proven, solid goalie for the Oil for the last 1.5 seasons, and I don't think the Oil could get much for him considering his age, 38. But much depends on the Oil's position in the standings and team needs as the trading deadline approaches in February.
Still, I don't see Rolie going anywhere. He has played very well in his last two starts and seems to be exiting his funk. The Oil D men are playing better, notably Smid and Grebeshkov. Smid has become much more physical this season, and it's making him a better player.
But the unsung hero of the defense is Allan Rourke. The guy isn't flashy -- in fact, he has no sheen at all. But he has played a very simple, very stay-at-home defensive game for the Oil since he was recalled from the AHL when Souray, Pitkanen and Greene got hurt, and it really has stabilized the back end for the Oil.
Rourke has been so solid that I'm in no hurry to see Souray return, especially since the Oil's long-dormant power play is starting to click without him.
It will be very interesting to see what the Oil does next week with Rourke. If he stays in Edmonton past Dec. 8, then he must clear waivers to return to Springfield. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for the Oil.
Souray and Tarnstrom will be healthy eventually, which could make Rourke expendable. But the guy has been such a quietly valuable asset that you'd hate to lose him on waivers in an attempted move to Springfield. I think other teams have noticed Rourke, and someone would grab him if the Oil tried to move him back to the American league.
But if the Oil keeps Rourke when Souray and Pitkanen get healthy, who goes to Springfield? Smid and Grebeshkov arguably are too talented for that league, and they've played well the last 10 days. No way does Tom Gilbert go to the AHL; he's been the Oil's best overall defenseman this season.
It's an interesting, and nice, problem to have. If anything, I think the Oil could package one of those defensemen and one of their excess forwards at the trading deadline to get picks or a nice offensive asset. Top Oil D prospect Taylor Chorney apparently is playing very well at North Dakota, which possibly makes one of the Oil's "tweener" NHL-AHL D men even more expendable.

Cogliano was a stud at the University of Michigan and has played well for Canada in the World Juniors. Hockeysfuture.com has raved about him for the last two seasons, so he was on my radar screen.
Honestly, I think he's a better overall player now than the more heralded Gagner. Samwise has a ton of skill and hockey sense, but he's a bit weak defensively and is knocked off the puck too easily due to his small stature.
Cogliano has great speed -- only Matthew Lombardi of Calgary and Andy MacDonald of Anaheim have shown me better wheels this season -- and has become a very trusted penalty killer for MacT. Plus he is willing to "get dirty" in the corners despite his small size and never stops competing. Cogliano has a deep skill set. Does nothing great but does everything well, and there are few players in the NHL who can match his speed.
I really, really like Cogliano. He's quickly become my second-favorite player on the Oil, behind Stoll.
Take care,
PK
