Waled into Best Buy, walked out with a Vita in about 10 minutes. Not a single person there to buy one and they had stacks of them. What they didn't have were 32 gig cards. I asked the guy if he had a lot of pre-orders and he said no. Point being if you want one I don't think you need to race out anf hunt for one they seem to be readily available.

Ok first snag. I am trying to set this thing up and it is trying to use my Playstation id, but then it says I need to update the software and I am in some endless loop in the setup and can't get out to do an update.

Grrrr

Just choose to do the PSN stuff later and then update it.

Also, I transferred a game I downloaded onto my PS3 without any hitches. So far the interface is very simple and intuitive.
Danimal, I went thru the same thing initially until I remembered Toon posting something about it, before going in circles.

Yeah, had the same problem - not exactly a elegant welcome for everyone who already has a PSN account...

Yeah I finally bypassed it but the wording made it seem like it was going to set up a new account.

I'm currently charging it after connecting to my psn account and messing with welcome park. The only game I have is Hot Shots Golf, 3 others are on the way from Amazon.

Need to go out and find a 32 gig card as well.

Ok I am really blown away impressed.

I just need some games to hold me out until The Show. Gonna look for old psp games is there a list online somewhere so I can avoid the horrible psn interface?

There's a bunch of demos for Vita games on the PSN, Dan. There's demos for Lumines, FIFA, Rayman, Unit 13 just to name a few.

Went ahead and picked up a Vita from Target along with the free 4GB card. My 32GB card from Buy.com has not yet shipped. I'm thinking it may never ship.

Haven't had a chance to play around with the system, but as many have already stated, it sure is impressive looking. It's a bit heavier than the demo unit I toyed around with at Game Stop. Right now, I'm charging it at work. I haven't bought a game just yet. I'm thinking I'll probably just go ahead and pick up Virtua Tennis, and then wait for The Show. However, I am seeing a lot of people over at OS taking advantage of the B2G1 deal, and are planning on returning one of their games for the The Show when it releases. Something to think about. I understand that Best Buy will match Target's deal as well.

I just looked at both weekly flyers and didn't see anything on that, nor did I see any mention of it in Best Buy

BB decided to price match Target this week so you won't see it in the flyers.

With my eBay sales this week I decided to take the plunge :). DB's cross platform The Show presentation was too much to resist. I love The Show so it was an easy decision.

I simply walked into my local Walmart and saw they had like 8 or 10 WiFi systems in stock so I easily snagged one without any wait whatsoever. I grabbed a 4gb card too. I have a pitcher/catcher workout at 5:30 so I won't get a chance to crack the box until later. I'll definitely post my impressions later...hopefully they are all good.

Target is giving away a 4GB card with the wifi purchase. I'm sure you were aware of that, but just letting you know.

I'm hesitant to download anything to my 4 gig card because I want a 32 gig. However Monsetr Hunter is just looking at me longingly and I am looking back.

Yeah...I'm already out of space on my 4gb. Went to BB and picked up a 16gb. No way I'm spending 100 on a card out of principle and I had a couple reward coupons I used, so got it for 50 bucks. I'll make it work with 16gb. Now I just have to download VT4 again...plus all the demos I downloaded. Ugh. Oh well...lesson learned.

Yeah I knew that. But the closest Target to me is 45 minutes. Walmart is 15 so I took the bullet.

Picked up Fifa Soccer on the way home from work. Virtua Tennis 4 is going to be shipped to me as it's an online only purchase there. The sales rep at Best Buy pre-ordered me The Show as part of the buy 2 get 1 free deal.

So what would be the best way to transfer the current 4GB proprietary memory card from Sony to a bigger capacity one?

I went Bat-Sh*t Vita crazy today. Grabbed the wifi with free 4gb card at Target, Uncharted, FIFA, and Hot Shots in the 2 for 1. Then went to TRU and picked up Lumines and Rayman to get my $20 gift card. Lastly went to GS and grabbed Virtua Tennis as well. Cha-ching.

Here's the worst part…..I now have decided that switching the cartridges during the times this device will be played…on the couch, in bed, while traveling…will be too much of a pain in the a**. SO, i will be returning the games, grabbing a 32gb memory card, and downloading my games from here on out. Actually I will keep one of the games and just leave that cartridge in the Vita. Sure I lose the ability to trade games in which is why I convinced myself to purchase physical games in the first place, but having spent the afternoon swapping them out, the pros for downloads outweigh the cons.

Like db said earlier…live and learn.

On a positive note, this thing is awesome. Very happy I picked it up.

Is it possible to download Vita demos on the PS3 and transfer them to the Vita? I'm downloading a couple games on the Vita, but it's taking forever. Not to mention, the Vita powers off so I don't think it continues to download.
