I just wanted to correct myself - the Braves are MUCH close to being an offensive powerhouse than the Hawks are to being an elite team :)

Don't even say that. The Braves have simply started scoring a few runs while scoring very few in April. The law of averages always works out...they were simply balancing the scales. The Phillies are doing the same right now...it's just the opposite direction.

The Hawks are terrible...as proven in the playoffs.

The Hawks have talent. Just terrible coaching. Thankfully he is gone.
You can't win in the postseason by doing the same things things that you got away with in the regular season against a lot of bad teams. In the playoffs, you face the same solid team every night and they will adjust to what you are doing. If you cannot adjust back (like the Hawks) then you will lose. Hopefull we will get a decent coach who knows how to utilize this team.

C's in six. Not that I really think they can win, but it would be nice.

Well, it's pretty simple.

If the C's don't win game 2, it's very possible the Lakers will celebrate the tittle @ Boston.

Artest & his kooky ass was def the MVP of game one. Other than Kobe, he wants a ring more than any other laker on the team.

Danny Ferry resigned, hmmm.

People's reactions to this are funny. They range from, "Well, that obviously means LeBron's staying" to, "Well, that obviously means Lebron's gone."

Just another development in this pretty mundane offseason the Cavs are having. :D

Obviously it means that Gilbert thought getting a new GM would appease Lebron. If anything, it increases the chance the LBJ is back in Cleveland. It certainly doesn't hurt it.

Yeah, I'm trying real hard to think along those lines you mentioned and stay positive about it. But it's hard to ignore those that are saying Ferry's just jumping off the Titanic before LeBron bolts and this whole thing falls apart.

Who knows? One thing I do know, LeBron's loving all this, he might milk this thing through July in to August.

I guess I'm going to miss those annual last-minute trade deadline rumors with Ferry's buddy Steve Kerr in Poenix. :D

Well I did warn you that Shaq wouldn't do anything for you in Cleveland...just look at the first page of this thread. :)

I'm pretty sure Phoenix got the better end of that salary dump.

I don't have to look back at that first post of this thread. You know I was waiting all year to throw that post back in your face when the Cavs won the whole thing! LOL! :D

Just like always, it didn't work out like I had hoped.

Talk about a deflating feeling...

Celtics had it and let it slip away.

23 offensive rebounds, wow.... Perkins injury was just a bummer.

Oh well, congrats to the Lakers who didn't give up.

I would have given the MVP to Gasol for what is worth.

Nah...he was softer than Charmin for 3/4 of the series...Kobe only had one off game and even he found something to do effectively (hitting the glass). No way Pau gets MVP because of one nice game.

A lot was made of Phil's speech in Game 5 about the Celtics' penchant for blowing games in the 4th quarter. It sure rang true last night. I have no love for the Lakers but I was glad to see Phil win his 11th. It was an entertaining Finals for sure.

Hats off to the Lakers for gutting out that win last night. They didn't even blink when Rondo hit that enormous three near the end. Just great team defense and maybe the best post-championship press conference ever by Ron Artest (for pure crazy entertainment value).

I don't know...two years ago when KG dropped the Adidas slogan at the top of his lungs and then complimented Michelle Tafoya on how she looked was pretty good as well. Draw.

Good point. Although he didn't try to pimp his latest rap single during the post-game interview. :D

With the finals over it's time for the LeBron circus to kick it up a notch.

Probably could make an offseason/next season thread.

There's going to be a lot of action in the offseason.
