Rockstar announces Red Dead Redemption - PS3/360

Saw something yesterday that I'd never seen before. I was riding around, and I heard shots. I go to where the shots were fired, and see a woman, on her knees, crying over her dead husband. It kind of looked like a mission setup, so I walked over there. She said nothing, but wept, put her hand on her husbands head, put both on her face, then took his gun from it's holster, looked at it a moment, put it to her head, and pulled the trigger.

I had that same encounter for the first time yesterday as well. Crazy!Teal wrote:Saw something yesterday that I'd never seen before. I was riding around, and I heard shots. Anyone do the "I Know You" stranger encounter? Also, I'm holding off on what I expect are the last couple of missions so that I can finish off the ambient quests. Am I an idiot? Once the credits roll do I still have a chance to play around in the world?

At least your wife will discuss it with you...anytime I bring up video games my wife just tells me to go talk about it on the nerd board (DSP, lol).TCrouch wrote:Yeah, finished "I Know You". I think that was one of the most creative strings I've seen in a game. Almost leaves it open to interpretation. I even went and discussed it with my wife after I finished it
You are screwed.TCrouch wrote:hahahahahah
What's worse, is I get my wife to play games every once in a while. I just got her all hooked into World of Warcraft again, so I may regret that one soon.
Memories return though...We all did the Dead Mines together.
Whens the expansion coming?...huh?...Huh?...huh?....that is going to be bad.
Ya...mine happened with a guy I believe. One of the those WTF just happened.Teal wrote:Saw something yesterday that I'd never seen before. I was riding around, and I heard shots. Picked this game up last night. I am really liking it. I was thinking that I'd never be able to get into an old west type of game, but this game is special. I like it more than I liked the last few GTA games. I am wondering how long the fun will last, but for now I am glad that I picked it up. How many levels are there? I've heard it takes 20 hours to beat it.

OMG, sign me up!
The only thing that looks a bit iffy to me is the mining mission. Anytime you're in a mine it just emphasizes the weak points of the controls, IMO. All the rest look like a rocking good time!

Legends and Killers pack out now...with Red Dead Revolver characters! 800 MS points, and worth every penny. The new MP map locations are really awesome. Fort Mercer, Hennigan's Stead, Pacific Union RR Co, etc. Plus, the RD Revolver characters are available in Free Roam, as well.
Pick it up! I want some more MP!

One of the NINE new MP maps is Blackwater. Not some 'section' of Blackwater, but the entire town of Blackwater. Great, great gang shootout location.
Heard a tremendously funny random line tonight, from one of the hookers. Started shooting up the town and got my wanted level started. After I'd killed three or four men, the woman put in her two cents as to why the shooting should stop:
"Ya'll stop shooting each other-I haven't made my quota!"
Guys, I know some people in here pinch a penny so tight that it looks like a train ran over it, but I really can't recommend the new maps any higher. GET IT.
