I haven't looked either, but I'd guess they can't be more that one or two points apart. I do know Bryant's pretty quick, though.

How do we do it? Through the website or through the game?

Through the game. Offer me the trade, and I'll handle the rest.

I thought we decided on a modified rule where you can't just speed rush the DE the whole game. Dude that runs the Pack did it the entire game. It was pretty fun, scrambling for my life the entire time.

Didn't have his headset on of course. I mean, for the most part he was legit, he just used the DE and cut inside every time, so I had to roll out on nearly every pattern just to have time. It was annoying.

Yeah, I'd say Feeley having to scramble 5 times for 40+ yards is an unusual circumstance.
It figures he didn't have his headset on.

Maybe all players should be required to wear a headset? Just a suggestion.

Isn't this a new owner for the Packers? Was this his first game?

I said this from the beginning. People without a headset are generally bad news in any sports game. It means they don't won't to hear any grief about the cheese they're about to run on you. No one says you have to talk as I know talking can sometimes screw up your concentration, but is it too much to ask to wear the headset for communication purposes only?

Agreed. There's been numerous times where I've just greeted my opponent before the game and told him good luck. We would then play the game with no communication, except the occasional "nice play". Fact of the matter is, we could communicate with each other when needed.

My advice is, wear the headset. You're not obligated to chat with your opponent the entire time.

Don't get me wrong guys, he played fairly straight up except for the DE cheese. Maybe he didn't know the rule? If he was new I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't really care that he rushed every time, I just thought agreed that we all weren't going to speed rush with em?

Actually, we agreed not to change the rule. You can speed rush with the DE, you just cant move him off the line. I rush with either Lang or Brown every play. Pretty much. The guy in Green Bay has the speed rush to the inside down to perfection. He was my opponent last week and he sacked me 8 times. I had no chance. It was one of the reasons I even brought up the no DL idea. I'm kinda glad to see it wasnt just ME that was bombarded by the Green Bay guy. LOL

The speed rush can be a definite issue, but it can be countered. It does sort of limit your playcalling, but then again it also limits what he can do on defense. I just played a non-league game against someone who used the Ravens and rushed Boulware off the corner every single play. He was good at it- he would get to the quarterback in just under two seconds, meaning that play action was completely useless. On the other hand, he never once adjusted to my dumping the ball off to the halfback in the flat. I would just watch him to see if he would break off the rush and cover the hole, but he never did. Forty-five points later...

In defense of the non-headseters, I play when my wife is either working in the same room or asleep next door, so I almost never wear the set. It doesn't automatically mean that the game will be bad (although a vast majority of the bad games come in non-header games).

Exactly what happened to Bill. That's why the rule was brought up but some complained. Until it happens to them...

What happened is a bunch of people, said it was no big deal and we should all learn how to play the game. I guess it is not a big deal until it happens to you for a whole game because I though DB was one of the ones who didn't care about the rule (my apology if that is not correct)

I find it interestingthat everytime we have a problem it is from a non DSP player.

BTW will the Rams owner please return my e-mails so we can set up a game. 3 e-mails, a PM on the league site and not this little blurb here are enough to warrant a reply I think.

How is taking advantage of a flaw in the game fun?? That's what I don't get. How does totally altering the game so that it no longer even resembles football fun. I just don't understand some of these guys.

Like I said up a little higher on page 15...I don't really care either way, I just thought we agreed to limit that. I was wrong obviously...

I moved the football against the guy, as you can see by the stats and the time of possession. When you get down towards the goal line, having a limited number of plays available is a problem. You can't run good play action, which is basically the key to goal line playcalling if you're going to pass and my running game was non existent due to the Travis Minor factor.

So even if the guy doesn't get 6 sacks against me...it severely limits my playcalling abilities. Plays that I like to run and am comfortable running, don't work because of the lack of time. But, it's all good. If we don't want that rule, fine by me...I just refuse to use those DE/DT's just because I don't even want a hint of cheese on my side of the football.

I'm not sure anyone who had a problem with controlling DL ever said that you can't move the ball. I think the question simply becomes is it any fun playing the game at that point?

Did you enjoy your game having to deal with that all game? That was, and always has been my point it is not really fun at that point. I'm going to grind out these league, with a lousy rated (pre-roster update) Jags team, because I hate peoiple who quit leagues. But dealing with this crap is not fun.

In all my games so far I have only player one guy who coached his game like real football and that was Sully. The rest of them weren't fun. If it wasn't the DE speed rush, the DT moving manually, punting that certain way so it can't be returned, or thowing the slant pass to the same WR over and over. Maybe it has just been the luck of the draw with my schedule.

I don't mind losing, but I would actually like to play something that resembels football every once in a while.

Yeah well, I assume that everyone who actually posts on here will play straight up. It's the other jackoffs we gotta worry about. The majority is from here and my first three games were fun since they were all straight up. Hopefully your schedule will turn around and you'll get the DSP guys next Dan.

It's just not good when the only guys that are legit are guys from here...everyone else is a d*uchebag. What does that tell us?

Next time, create a league with less players, and make sure they are all from DSP so we can chastize them if they cheese like crazy.
