YES!!! I could be online around 10:30pm EDT if all goes well. Would you be hosting? Sad to say I have not had much online multiplayer outside of a couple Hopper endurance races that I did not finish. I would love to actually race at Road Atlanta, and then try the 1977 Ford Coyote Gilmore at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but I am open to anything.

Nice! That is a sweet ride. I wish I remotely knew how to work magic in the Paint Shop. Some of the designs that are out there for Forza 5 are unbelievable.

....but which challenge is that? That track is running in just over a minute in x cars?

Im missing something besides my marbles.

When you truly dig in...This game is truly awesome.

I was online until close to 11ET last night but didn't see much activity except a couple guys in Rivals races. I played a league game of Madden and by the time I got back I sent you a party invite, Don--but there was no response so I think you were AFK.

I've never raced FM5 online at all except once on release day, I think. It was pretty fun, but it obviously didn't sink its hooks into me. The career mode is meaty, though, and with drivatars I had quite a bit of fun offline. I still like Grid Autosport's AI a bit better, because Forza still uses the "your car will accelerate better and go faster than the other cars" method of difficulty tuning, where GAS has everybody on an even playing field, and just changes the other guys' aggression.

Forza's drivatars are a hoot, though. I pulled alongside Zeppo on the long straight just after the first left at Bathurst, and that bastard jumped 3 lanes to door slam me and sent me into the grass

Yeah, sorry Terry. I saw you were playing Madden and did not want to interrupt your game. I did a few Rivals events while enjoying a Southern Tier Pumking and woke up at 3:00am with the game still on. :) I agree about the AI in Grid Autosport, some of the best in a console for sure. The Forza 5 AI is probably the best in a Forza series to date, but it will still do some strange things. I had a XXXIV drivatar do the same thing to me in a race at Laguna Seca. Pretty fun.

So here is an update of the Road Atlanta Rivals Event. Terry has posted some great times. One thing I did not realize is that you can "kill two birds with one stone" for the P Class Rivals, as there is a Monthly Rivals event currently at Road Atlanta in the P Class. Run that event and you will get credit for both. Don't forget if you want to be included in the final rank, you must post a clean lap at Road Atlanta for all 8 classes. so I started doing some of the laps and it's been a lot of fun. But then I realized I don't have some higher spec cars, nor the money to purchase some.I think the highest I have is class s, so maybe I will try to upgrade them to it x or r. but even if I don't qualify in all classes it's been fun trying to top sometimes on the lower levels.

Check your Redeem Forza Rewards Section (link below) and see if you have earned any Forza 5 credits. I have gained over 9 million in Forza 5 credits completely outside the game with the Forza Rewards.

This is a super game in so many ways. But the snap oversteer, especially with RWD cars, is a tad excessive. That's my only complaint so far! :)

Thanks for the tip, Don. I had 300,000 credits sitting in my account that would have expired in a few days! :)

Depending on what tier you may get to next month you will get at least another 300,000 next month.

Yeah--cars like the Viper and some of the Vettes and GT cars seem to have trouble with it. I went for a while with all aids off and manual w/ clutch enabled, but when you start trying to drive those cars, it's impossible with how they snap loose so easily. So I went back and settled for manual so that I don't have to fiddle with the clutch constantly

The good part of those snappy things is that they are usually so fast that you just have to exert more patience than a Saint--and then they lay down really fast times. But the nanosecond that you jump on the gas early to chase a ghost, your lap is screwed.

It's odd: I have better control over the snap oversteer with the traction control OFF. Maybe I'm just more careful.

Wouldn't surprise me. The TCS makes us drive a little like gorillas with no care for the power in the car. When you have to worry about it, you focus more, and you know what the car is going to do. That's part of the reason I hate those systems, personally. And with the tactile triggers, even with a controller it's not mandatory. I set a bunch of laps in Don's challenge with my wheel, then went back and broke them with a controller--the impact of those triggers cannot be overstated.

Just 7 more hours to post your times for the DSP Road Atlanta - Petit Le Mans Rivals Challenge. I have been getting lots of Rivals alerts over the last 48 hours. Good stuff. I have really enjoyed this as I have probably tried 20+ car/class combinations at Road Atlanta over the last week. Thanks to everyone who has participated.

Im kinda hoping Thrustmaster will add the feed back to a peddle set down the line, that would be ideal i think.

I pulled the final results at midnight last night and hope to have the posted shortly. With that said, feel free to continue to post more hot laps as every time I get a Rivals alert I can't help but try one last time.

Correct, there will be Rivals Recommendations that come from Turn 10, but a Rivals Alert tells you when a friend has bested one of your times, and you can go straight there to try to challenge them if you want.

DSP Road Atlanta - Petit Le Mans Rivals Challenge - Final Results

Tuesday Sep 23, 2014 - Monday Sep 29 at 11:59pm EDT

Post a Rivals Lap in all 8 classes at Road Atlanta

Use any car, setup/tune, and assists you like, but you must post a clean lap for it to count in the Rank.

Shoot for two Benchmarks (aka Ranks). The Mechberg Rank and the Mechberg 107% Rank

Thanks to everyone who participated. It was very fun posting what I thought was a great lap at 3:00am, only to get an alert the next morning that someone had bested it. While I originally said I would not score non-clean laps, I wanted to allow for everyone who participated to be counted. Also, if you did not get a lap posted in a certain class, I still counted you, but with a +25 second total to the rank (just to be fair). Cells highlighted in Red mean that you were missing a lap for this class. Those highlighted in yellow mean your lap was not clean. If anyone ends up posting new times, just let me know, and I will update the spreadsheet.

So just to summarize, using Turn 10's Brian Ekberg's (Mechberg) times as a Benchmark, your total rank is how many total seconds slower, or faster you were to his benchmark times at Road Atlanta for each class. As you can see, only Terry (Rockjaw), managed to get an overall negative rank, and a pretty impressive one at that. The Mechberg 107% Rank is the same thing, but the benchark times are 107% of Mechberg's times, and considered a "Mendoza Line" type benchmark,
