The benefit of working tightly with your squad keeps most teams pretty much together, which tends to lead towards more controlled fire-team fights than you get in the regular CQ two-sided modes. I'd love to get some multi-DSP squads going!
Sorry I had to go comms silent for a bit there. Wife walked in from a girls night and had to download a night's worth of information that meant nothing to me.

That last game where I switched to the LMG was a blast! You and Jimmy did a fabulous job keeping the enemy off my six and I was able to just hose them down for a bit there.

I was thinking about this earlier today... What a cash cow this game is for EA. Many of us bought the game when it came out and then bought at least one pack of DLC. As of Nov. 1st 2 million people bought the battlefield premium subscription on it's own.

Add to that the folks who bought the Premium version of the game while already owning the limited version (or rebuying the game after selling it off)

According to VG Chartz BF3 has doubled what BF:BC2 sold.

(speaking of BFBC2 I played a bit of that last week and had no problems getting into a full lobby)

I feel like I made out like bandit on the premium version. I guess I preordered this game for ~$60, but that included Karkand. Then I trade it in for $36 I think at BB, but later bought the premium edition for $30. End of the day I spent ~$55 on the game, and that includes the base game and all 5 expansions. :!:

But what if you did what the rest of us did on Black Friday and got the Premium Edition for 30 bucks? THAT is bandit-esqe. :)

You did alright tho. LOL.

I did get the premium edition on BF for $30. I spent ~$55 overall because last year I bought the game for $60 and sold for 36, resulting in a 24 loss.

All right, Aftermath maps are awesome. LOVE 'em. Love Scavenger, too. Best re-purchase in my history of re-purchases...and that list is far too long...

I paid $60 at release, $30 for Premium edition and $120 on a pair of headphones so I can hear people coming before they kill me :)

Worth every penny.

What we need to do in these squad dm games is make sure we get together before we loadout and tune are specializations so we could get the benefit of at least 3 different ones as a squad. Im sure we have duplicate slots going normally, and we all pretty much have squad perks by now.
So more team work and more communication, oh my god im a marriage counselor.

I should be on after midnight (ET) tonight, in peak form. Have band practice at 9 p.m.

Yes, live rock and roll trumps Pacquiao-Marquez IV. I can't download playing live rock; I can download the fight either late tonight or tomorrow morning. :)

For those who have yet to jump on the premium edition, Gamestop has it on sale this week for $40.

Sorry if I punctured your eardrums last night, Rob, Teal and Web. Frustrating night for me. Can't believe how many times I reduced a foe's health to single digits but couldn't finish him off.

Love this game and the DSP revival, though. :)

:D Funny story about that: Right after I had finished (and I think Rob and Teal left at the same time too) I logged out of the game to the dashboard and got up to go let my dog out, who had been urging me for a couple of minutes. After she came back in, I started getting ready for bed, forgetting that I hadn't actually turned the machine off. Suddenly, out of nowhere from my family room came an angrily violent stream of obscenities that almost made me choke on my toothbrush.

Apparently though I unplugged the headset I hadn't quit the party, and PK went on to play another round, the evidence of which I heard through my TV's set of speakers...

Sorry you had a rough night, PK. I actually felt bad about shooting you again that one time that idiot squadmate of yours revived you as you were incredibly exposed and surrounded by enemy fire on the escalators...

We need to have a big room DSP night. I got in on the revival expecting to take part in a few of those, and I don't think we've had one since I bought the game!

I'm loving the Aftermath maps, even if I'm struggling on them because I haven't learned all the angles yet.

No need for apologies, Paul. You swore less than I do when I'm having a good night. :)

I keep meaning to put up Poker Night threads for this and Forza, but my work schedule has been odd and I haven't been able to make any firm plans for what time I can get on lately.

Sorry about the blue torrent, Web!

I agree on a Poker Night for BF3 and Horizon. We can't forget Horizon!

Definitely no need to apologize! Quite funny!

I was worried a little about the frustration level evident, though. Glad it didn't lead to an 'I'm done with this game!' post! :)

I'm still up for Horizon too. Rally soon, right?

Nah, just a VERY off night. Once I signed off, I realized two things: One, I was a complete dick last night and owed you guys -- and your eardrums -- an apology. And two, this is just a game. A very fun game. It's supposed to be relaxing fun. I'm fine now, I think. :)

Yep, rally pack is released next week for Horizon. Waiting to hear on feedback before committing to a purchase.
