Marrone has been the head coach at Syracuse officially for three hours, 15 minutes, and already some natives are restless:

And who says people in the Northeast don't care about college football? :)

Take care,

Geez, I didn't think the Orange fans would freak out that quickly.

You never know, but Marrone does have "bad hire" written all over him. Gill would have been a great hire, but maybe he doesn't want to leave Buffalo...yet.

Speaking of odd hires, it looks like Auburn is hiring Gene Chizik, who lost his last 10 games at ISU. I've read a few interviews with Chizik in the past, and he seems like an intelligent guy with a ton of character who wants to instill values in the young men under his steward. However, Auburn fans want a winner first and foremost, so it remains to be seen how patient they will be.

Tommy Tuberville did a solid job in the brutal SEC and was essentially run off after one bad year. I wouldn't be too surprised if he returns to the SEC at some point soon and has continued success, much like Houston Nutt has done with Ole Miss.

There are some rumors floating around that Gill, having a white wife, might not have been something Auburn boosters were ready for.

Former Auburn and NBA star Charles Barkley ripped his alma mater on Monday, saying the only reason the Tigers did not hire Buffalo's Turner Gill as the school's new football coach is because Gill is black.

Can't we all just out aside our differences and get along?

Is that Gill's wife??

I think Chuck has a case here. Gill has turned Buffalo's program completely around and the guy they hired has done nothing at Iowa State.

just got home from 5 days in FL and the BCS Game!

So happy the Gators brought home another title. I will have lots of pics online soon for thise that may be interested. We had 22nd row on the 5 yd line. Pretty nice seats, except for when the action was all the way down the other end. The atmoshpere in Miami was crazy. I felt like I was at the swamp. I would say 80/20 Gators/Sooners fans. I thought the 1st half was a bit boring, but the 2nd half, especially the 4th qtr was great! Teebow just imposed his will on OK and they couldn't stop him running the ball. FL did get lucky in the 1st half. The score at the half should have been 21-7 OK.

All in all...a great time was had by me and the misses. Will post pics soon.

Who's that girl with Teebo in your avatar BDoughty? I hope that's not his g/f. That kid is a rock star in Gainsville right now and could have his pick of FL's finest every night of the week.....until next season, that is :)

Oh, I forgot about our little bet!
Were you just being "proactive" :)

Don't worry, I'll come up with a good one! Give me a little time.

Looks like we might be headed for a rematch

Heisman winner Bradford decides to stay at Oklahoma

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/ ... ford_N.htm

Also annoucing their return to Oklahoma on Wednesday were All-America tight end Jermaine Gresham and offensive lineman Trent Williams. Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy previously revealed he would be back for his junior season on Monday.
