Just like Jeff Hanson in "Slap Shot."

It's a shame. Come mid-season, that's about as full as the place is going to get.pk500 wrote:Devils' new barn, which opens this weekend, looks nice:

It was an unfortunate hit. Illegal, but didn't look like intent to injure to me.Feanor wrote:Randy Jones of the Flyers just hit Patrice Bergeron of the Bruins from behind into the boards, and he's been lying on the ice for a long time.... and he just now got wheeled off. Really hope the guy's OK.
It wasn't a particularly viscous or dirty hit if you watch it in real time, but Bergeron's head went right into the dasher and he just crumbled to the ice.

Thanks for the compliment, James. I'm trying my best.10spro wrote:Watched the Paul Kelly interview with R. Maclean in HNIC and he appeared as a very fair and honest man. You're welcome. I thought you were younger looking though.pk500 wrote:Thanks for the compliment, James. I'm trying my best.10spro wrote:Watched the Paul Kelly interview with R. The Tkachuk, Kariya, and Boyes line in St. Louis is much better. 1 less point than the Kings line mentioned above and 3 less games played and a much much better +/-!pk500 wrote:I know the Alfie-Spezza-Heatley line in Ottawa gets all the deserved love as the most potent offensive line in the NHL, but the Kopitar-Brown-Cammalleri in LA is SERIOUSLY good. It's the second-best line I've seen this season behind the above Ottawa line.
Not pleased that the Oil lost to LA, but it's nice to see Brown rewarded with a six-year contract extension from LA. He's somewhat of a local boy, from Ithaca, about 40 miles from here.

The Kings are not dominated by the Ducks, trust me. They are dominated by the Lakers, Dodgers, and the NFL. The Ducks might be getting a little more press because of the cup but not THAT much more. Hockey just doesn't get coverage in So. Cal. And yes, Kopitar is a god.pk500 wrote:Tim:
I haven't seen the Blues yet this season, but that line will need to impress me quite a bit as the top LA line was really strong last night. They cycle the puck incredibly well.
Kopitar is a BEAST. The panel on "Hockey Night in Canada" was talking about Kopitar's status level, and while all agreed that he's not quite in the Jagr-Thornton category yet, Sean Burke said, "He's just about right there."
I agree. You hear nothing about Kopitar because he plays in a sh*t hockey market that is dominated by the other team, the defending Stanley Cup champions.
