I meant the win, but several beers later my grammar has become...muddled
The second half showed why Grossman does matter. No team in the NFL can be run on if they want to sell out to stop it, which is wat NO did. I told my wife that it was going to take on good drive from Grossman to sink the dagger, and if they got that it would open up the run down the stretch. 4-4 for 60 yards and a TD later, and it was a field day down the stretch for the Bears RB's.

Awesome, awesome win by the Bears today. No other defense in the league produces turnovers like they do, and they absolutely stuffed the ball down the Saints throats with the run game. It was nice to see the team keep it together after the Saints made a nice rally to pull within two. Hopefully they can bottle up that intensity and release it again in two weeks.

GREAT GAME! WAY TO GO MANNING, FINALLY! f***in FINALLY SHUT UP THAT TOM BRADY AND HIS ASS-COACH. AND THOSE New England fans that are just fans when the pats win, well they can go back to their holes.
This is perfect for the bears. This is like INdy's superbowl, how they gonna get up for the Bears, they will, but still, it's their superbowl if you know what i mean.
Coming into the playoffs, I thought the only AFC team the bears had a chance agains was the colts. It's working out. It'll be a great superbowl.
2 black coaches in the superbowl, Don't you 'LOVIE' IT!

Great game.
I thought Brady wouldn't have enough time with 54 secs and 2 timeouts.
He probably rushed it more than he would have if he had about 30 more seconds.
This would have been a great achievement with no reliable WRs. That drop by Caldwell made them settle for a FG, IIRC. But beyond that, they don't have an explosive playmaker on the outside, one that might turn a good gain into a great gain.

Colts are the easiest defense the Bears would face. Can you imagine Grossman against the Chargers or Ravens?
Pats defense collapsed and I think the crosscountry trip and a brutal game in SD took it out of them.
Colts are hard to stop but there were stretches in the second half when Pats couldn't put up any kind of resistance.

Hell of a game. Ironic that the explosive Peyton Manning show really won the game and set the tone with that opening, grinding, ball-control drive of the second half.
I'm not a stat guy, but it was pretty amazing at that one point in the second half where the Colts had run 39 of the last 40 offensive plays of the game.
Give the Colts' offensive line a TON of credit. Manning wasn't touched very often in the game, and they were superb on that long drive to open the third quarter. I really thought that was the crucial drive of the game other than the game-winner.
What the hell happened to the Pats' defense where Clark was so damn open on that big play on the final drive? Had to be a breakdown somewhere.
Very interesting Super Bowl. I think the Bears' physical secondary will give the Colts' WR's trouble. You wonder if the Colts can grind it out against the Bears' defense the way it did today in the third quarter. I have my doubts.
But will Grossman continue to be Mr. Reliable, making the plays when he has to and otherwise just keeping a steady hand on the tiller? With the way Grossman has played the last two games, the Bears are eerily similar to the 2000 Ravens. A QB who isn't hurting the team, is helping them from time to time, a running game that is grinding out some yards -- props to the Bears' O line, too -- and a superb defense.
What's the opening line for the Super Bowl? Anyone check?
Take care,
PK
