California doesn't have USC's talent. Never will either (not even sure their talent level matches up with ASU). CA gave them a game last year but they graduated a lot of seniors last year while a lot of USC's mainstays were underclassmen who are still on the team.

I'd love to see a CA upset but not likely.

Notre Dame has looked good but I don't think their recruits have been on par with USC for some time.

Talent alone does not win football games. Oklahoma was a more talented football team then TCU and UCLA in my opinion and look how both of those turned out. I would even say Florida is a more talented team then Alabama but they are getting destroyed. I guess that is why they play the games. Anyway USC has plenty of challenges left on their schedule.

Wow, USC has momentum and they may dodge a bullet.

Jarrett clearly fumbles but the refs call him down by contact when the ball was coming loose before the knee was down.

Supposedly it's not reviewable but they are reviewing it.

EDIT: They corrected the call.

So lets see if ASU can reverse the momentum.

Guess not with an int and score by USC 21-17

Hard for me to root against USC in this one. The alternative would be Texas becoming the #1 team in the nation.

Yea.... USC takes charge in the second half. Texas stays #2 when they head to Dallas.

Notre Dame or Cal will beat USC. Mark it down kids. You can't throw 4 picks against USC and expect to win. Keller had his chance but threw it away.

Edit: Keller threw #5 late in the game.

Some of it was bad breaks, a tipped int and then int #4 was weird. The WR had a good gain but like volleyball set it to a trailing DB.

Otherwise, they would have been close to FG range to tie it at 31-31 at least.

ASU has a lot of playmakers in the passing game. That is the only way they were even in this game after giving up almost 400 yards rushing to USC and those 5 ints.

I don't know, this appears to be the only game in awhile where USC was in danger. In their 26-game streak, the 21-3 first half deficit was their biggest. The way they put up points, 18-points doesn't seem that big.

We'll see. The more I see of ND, the more I think USC will handle them. I think Cal is grossly overrated this year. UCLA I Think has the best shot of knocking off USC.

Talk of Mike Hart's demise is premature. You can return to the platoon system or bench now for a while, Mr. Kevin Grady.

36 carries, 220 yards -- MASSIVE. That's my boy Mike Hart!

His performance took a bit of the sting off Syracuse's pathetic performance in Tallahassee. Ouch.

Take care,
PK

ND up 28-0.

If they don't get to 50 vs Purdue's defense, I'll be surprised.

What got into Penn State?

Two Big Ten games in 2005: 78 points
All Big Ten games last year: 103 points (scored 78th point in last game)

Speedy Derrick Williams is a lot of fun to watch and the other freshman are good too. The defense played really well today. They match up much better vs. non-spread offenses. Next week should be fun.
