What cracks me up is when somebody says that NHL 94 is the best hockey game ever or some old sports game is the best ever of that genre. You play those games now and sure, they are fun and bring back a sense of nostalgia, but the games of today completely blow those old games away when it comes to realism and gameplay despite the bugs and glitches.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.

I've been playing NHL 2006 a lot. The sliders help in some areas and don't in others like pass accuracy and hitting. I still like the game and a big reason is because it reminds me of the old '94 days.

2006 has some very good qualities that make it fun. The modders should be able to really make this thing sing seeing as to how they made 2005 playable and I didn't think that would be possible.

All the modders have to really address is passing and hitting which is a lot less daunting of a task than they are usually faced with.

Could be very good indeed.

that's what i have been trying do lately, just enjoy the game and not get so freakin' mad when the stats or gameplay don't match the real world of sports.
