Time to ressurrect this one....

I saw Dave Draiman from Disturbed in Iowa on Monday night!!! We were eating out at 801 (very expensive steak house) for business. I look over, and about 10 feet away from me in a booth was Dave. I didn't talk to him because I didn't want to bother the guy while he was eating dinner.

The funny part was that I was sitting there, and I know it was him and not some guy trying to look like him. My first reaction was "I've got to tel somebody", and I did tell the others at my table. The sad part is that I'm telling to to a group of people who are all older than me and have obviously never heard of Disturbed. It was kinda funny, because one of the girls did know of Slipknot (they're from Iowa).

I think if I would have gone over by him he'd have gone 'Who the f' are you?", seeing as how I was dressed in khakis and a polo shirt and very dada looking compared to my "cool" days :)

On a side note, I also ran into Brian Urlacher at the Shed Aquarium a few years ago.

This past saturday night while browsing the video game section at Best Buy in St. Peters Mo...who's standing next to me with a handbasket full of PSP's...none other than Rams running back Steven Jackson. I quietly tell my 6 year old son that the guy next to him is the Rams starting running back and Ryan my son says "Hi Mr. Faulk!" it was classic!!!!

I've run into a few people but rarely sports stars. My favorite was when I was working at a record store and Bruce Hornsby used to stop in and try to be all cool with the guys who worked there. One day he was in with the bass player from his band the Range (yes, this was a while ago) and was making fun of our rap and hip-hop cassingles when he tripped backwards over the security systemin the entrance and fell. His arse went through the sheetrock and he got stuck in the wall in a squatting position. He was there for a few minutes because we were laughing to hard to pull him out.

The owner patched the wall and we wrote "Bruce Hornsby's butt was here" on it.

College Basketball fans might know ref Ted Valentine. We have been very good friends for about 14 years. He made the trip to Germany when I was wounded in 03. Great guy.

Jay Payton went to our church in Zanesville Ohio. His parents Jim and Beth are very very cool.

I played HS Football with Archie Griffin's brother Keith. The whole family was just awesome. Not bad for Buckeyes.
