[quote="Boom"]I don't think it looked any better than the PC version by any means... No way IMO.

Just for kicks, pop it in again and compare the two. The game looks TONS better. It was done by Gearbox, and they either doubled or quadrupled the polygon count (can't remember), redid all of the models in the game, and included many new animations. The textures are so much better, it sticks out like a sore thumb. The DC version is three years newer than the PC version... they just didn't port it over. The game is graphically competitive with the shooters that came out around the same time as it was supposed to release, such as Unreal Tournament.

Now whether the whole package adds up to be better, I don't know... that's an opinion. Personally, I think the PC version has a better overall appearance because I can get 120 FPS with my modern computer, compared to the 10 FPS you get on the DC version when you enter a room with a lot of monsters. But there is no question that the DC has better graphics... like I said, don't take my word for it, run them side by side...

Where are you guys finding this game? Is there anywhere that you can download it without having to use that bit torrent thing?

Anyone know how to burn a disc when you download an image file that's been split into 31 pieces?

Badgun,
You can use Overnet but I've been finding Bittorrent to be much faster.

I was able to procure Half Life DC on Overnet and have to agree that it looks a little better than the PC original. The load times are a little aggravating but it's nice to be able to play the Blue Shift Chapter in the Half Life story. I think they released it for the PC as a package with the original but I already had Half Life so I wasn't going to rebuy it.

Scoop,
How big of a download was it? I'd love to get it, but I don't know what the Overnet is. I haven't seen it listed on suprnova.org yet.

Badgun,
Overnet is a file sharing program. I've used it for a couple years now and it's a good source for games. The drawback is that it is pretty slow. Click this link to download it:
Windows: http://download.overnet.com/overnet0.53a.exe

Linux: http://download.overnet.com/overnet-0.53.3.tar.gz

Mac (only works on Mac OS 10.3): http://download.overnet.com/eDonkeyMac0.53.5.tar.gz

Just do a search for Dreamcast and a bunch of Dreamcast games will come up.

The file itself is 290 MB's.
