Starcraft was a great game in its day. If you haven't burnt out on RTS games (which I have, unfortunately), you should have a good time with it.grtwhtsk wrote:Guys, what do you think of Starcraft? I've never really gamed much on the PC, but saw this for cheap over at Gamestop. I was watching some E3 stuff last night and saw the developer of Starcraft 2 showing some video and saying what a big hit the first one was. So my interest has been peaked!
Yep, I pulled this thread out from the attic. Did a search for "starcraft" and picked one!
What's next on your gaming radar screen?

Rugby 08 for the PC, if the specs are within my system's hardware.
That's it for new games. Otherwise, it's more on the PC of Rugby 06, MVP 07 (MVP 2005 mod), rFactor, Richard Burns Rally, NR 2003, rFactor, GTR2 and rFactor. Oh, and some rFactor.
Take care,
PK

Sweet. I would love to try Rugby 08 on the PC after all the rave reviews around here. It better support widescreen resolutions though.pk500 wrote:Rugby 08 for the PC, if the specs are within my system's hardware.

Now that i'll have a new PC in a month or so i'm making a list of games that i really want to try
Bioshock - a MUST have
Dirt - gotta try it with a nice force feedback wheel
STALKER
COH - already have this game but haven't finished it and want to try it with maxed graphic details.
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty
Oblivion - i had this for 360 for a month, never played it and sold it. I might give it another shot with a nice PC.
COD 4
Crysis - I can't believe i almost forgot this one

I don't know if it's going to be released Stateside. Rugby 06 for the PC was not.fsquid wrote:Rugby 08 for me too. I think it is out next week.
Makes no difference to me. I'll still get it, just like I got Rugby 06 for the PC.

For those of you that don't have a PC capable of running games. The PS2 version will be released here in the US.pk500 wrote:I don't know if it's going to be released Stateside. Rugby 06 for the PC was not.fsquid wrote:Rugby 08 for me too. I think it is out next week.

But I don't fully trust anything to do with computer specs and frame rates after all the crap I've gone thru in the past three years, so I won't buy BioShock for the PC unless there's a demo put out that runs well for me.
The Sound card really doesn't matter unless you absolutely need superb surround sound. Your video card is still pretty good. You most likely won't be able to run the game with all the bells and whistles maxed out but you might get close enough. The biggest benefit are the controls on a PC. I'd be willing to bet that wading through your power ups, items, and weapons will be much easier on the PC, not to mention the precision of aiming with a mouse opposed to an analog stick. Hopefully a demo will be released when the game ships or shortly thereafter so you can test it out.Feanor wrote:Thanks.LAking wrote: Recommended Requirements
