It’s definitely a beast! Last night I leveled up to like 13 or 14 and my melee weapons are now officially bad ass :). I was laying a whooping on some mofos last night. Check out a few of them on the feed. The game is definitely taking off. I’ve been putting in 2-3 hour shifts with the game which has not been the norm for me in a while. It’s one hell of a game.

Yeah, I've pushed almost to the end (think I'm level 35 now), and it just got better and better as I went. There were some pacing questions where you had to run around grinding side quests, but I eat that stuff up, anyway. One of my favorite open world games, easily. It's up there with Witcher 3. I wouldn't put it PAST it, but it's certainly categorized in that same neighborhood for me.

Played maybe three hours . I know its early. First impressions.

Its a great game. A beautiful game that I cant wait to play on X1X and one I will play for weeks but its not the Witcher 3 at least not yet.

That epic depth is not there for me at least not yet.

I will say its pretty clear the boys at Ubisoft definitely played Witcher 3 8)

Ok someone explain to me why in the PC game I see random players screen shots on my map? I also don't know if this is a game function or UbiPlay function as I don't see a way to take screen shots.

BTW coming over that sand dune and seeing Alexandria was a top 10 gaming wow moment. Getting eaten by crocs was not 8O

You'll see random players' screen shots and random players' bodies to avenge. No idea how they select which ones one gets, though.

On the XB1 controller, you hit LB+RB to enter photo mode, which has filters and lots of other doodads. Haven't played with it all that much.

I don't know the PC controls, but using a gamepad on PC you just click both sticks. And yes, it's just random photos. I wish there was a way to turn it off, because I'm an OCD-map-icon-clearer, and having to ignore them irritates me to no end.

I finished it on PC, immediately started another play through on XBox, and then decided to wait until the XB1X releases, taking my time to 100% every single zone, instead of racing through story missions and side missions I stumbled across.

Sorry it's not hitting that epic feel for you, XXXIV. For me, it took a while to really get there, but a lot of that feel for me is the combat. Dodge-dodge-dodge-attack when fighting multiple enemies. Very Witcher-esque for me. The story is not to the level of Wither 3 (but still very good, and Bayek is the first character in AC that I've actually really enjoyed listening to), but the size of the world, the exploration, and the combat all put it in the same breath.

Ah ok, I found a way to turn it off on the map screen I just didn't know if there was a game play element to it. Avenging their deaths? I'll check one out to see what it looks like.

I turned off photo mode before, but that only turns off your ability to take photos...not hide photos on the map screen, unless I missed something. I saw a legend option, but no way to toggle them all the time to off. If you found that, where did you find it?

Avenging deaths is kind of cool, as it's usually a short little mini-mission to find some enemies nearby. In some cases, I literally just killed the group that were the culprits, so I got a few hundred xp for turning around and holding Y on some corpses!

I'm not at my PC right now but last night in the map there was something that said my photos and an icon for the directional pad. i hit that and they all went off the map legend. I don't know if they stayed off when I went back in though.

One thing I discovered at this game is I'd make the worst assassin as i have no patience.

Needed a new game to showcase the One X when it arrives, so figured this was as good as any. Never really got into the older AC games, but maybe the switch to a more RPG style will lure me in a bit more. Went with the physical copy just in case, so I can get some money back from it if it doesn't grab me. We'll see.

Its definitely an AC game but the updated combat system and RPG elements make it feel a lot different. I’m loving it.

Figured this out, thanks. If you tap up on the dpad it turns them off for that viewing, but then they come back the next time you go into the map. A quick double tap of a directional pad I can live with, though.

I know you kids are all lathered up about the shiny 500 dollar distraction, but... :D . I just did my first Hippodrome race. Damn, that's fun! Won the tourney, and really dug the"Ben-Hur" achievement... Lol. This game rocks.

Same. Easily the best in the series. The world is just too enormous for words

Still playing it at every opportunity, after beating it on PC, going through and clearing each zone 100% on Xbox One X before moving to the next area. Not bored of it in the least, yet.

So in terms of Open World games, I have played Fallout and the Farcry games. Not an RPG guy at all, not a sword fighter and I haven’t played any Assassin games in the past. Since most of you claim that this version is different than the previous releases, is this game really going to get my interest other than the aforementioned beautiful visuals on the X.

Just asking only because of the BF sale and I may be tempted.

I’m not a huge RPG guy either. Plus I’m not a big sword combat gamer. That being said, I love this game. The exploration factor is what I like. The world is huge with a great main story (quest) and numerous side quests to constantly help build up your character. Also, it is not all sword/melee combat. You have a bow with some pretty nice modifications. I think you would like it 10s. If there is a solid BF deal out there it would be worth a try.
