Yes, the Cavs are supposed to beat the Bulls and Mo Williams played in place of Kyrie and scored 19.

Disagree about the Hawks. I think they will plunge more than any team this season.

Last year's Hawks' team played way over its head. Who knows if Korver will shoot as well as he did last season? NBA defenses will catch up to Coach Bud's systems. Losing Carroll hurts. He did so much dirty work for that team.

Atlanta won 60 games last season. I can see the Hawks dropping to the low 50s or even high 40s.

Curry. Holy f*ck. What a start to the season by the reigning MVP.

Yep he was very impressive :). Noel was very good also. Unfortunately our bench sucks and we turned over the ball 20+ times. Wroten, Marshall, Stauskas and Covington NEED to get back on the floor. :(

Break up the Knicks! Not a bad performance, considering Melo only scored 11. But the Bucks didn't have The Greek Freak, either.

I think reality will return tonight for the 'Bockers against Atlanta.

P.S.: I also agree with many NBA insiders and media who insist the Knicks should trade Carmelo. His contract is an albatross, and he's not a ball distributor who will breed winning. He's a fantastic one-on-one scorer who is a black hole. This is the last year he probably will command strong trade value, as his odometer is gaining miles rapidly and he has been injury-prone. Send him to Chicago or Houston near the deadline for a package of players and picks.

Saw the end of the Wolves-Lakers game.

Towns looked good even though he's like the 4th scoring option at best.

Russell only had 4 points while Kobe scored 24 points but hogged the shot attempts.

Agree on all. Towns did look composed and ready.

As for Kobe, he'll get his points and his shots. That matters most to him. All of this talk about him being a mentor to Russell is bullsh*t. Kobe always has been about Kobe -- and winning -- first.

The more interesting dynamic is between Kobe and the notorious mental marshmallow Hibbert. Kobe may force Hibbert into a nervous breakdown on the court at some point this season.

Sounds a lot like what I said when the Knicks acquired him. No one wanted to listen to "this" insider. :)

Hibbert is definitely going to cry this year at some point. Probably at practice so we don't get to see it. Unfortunately.

Got tickets to Dallas@LAL and Suns@Clips this weekend @Staples Center. A fun opening weekend for me.

Rockets are 0-3 and would-be MVP James Harden is shooting horribly.

He was shooting under 26% on FGs and under 14% on 3PFGs before today's loss to the Heat.

He shot even worse, 2-15 or 13.3% and 0-10 on 3PFGs.

Rockets talked a lot of smack about the Warriors in the off-season that they had a lucky year.

But Dwight Howard is still a champion

Nike to Adidas.

Just got home from Lakers and Mavs and wow what a bad game of basketball to watch. The lone highlight from either team was Julius Randall. Wow that kid can play. He's going to be fun to watch this year for Laker fans. Good thing because they literally have nothing else.

Some credit needs to go to Justise Winslow. Spo put him in the game early and he was all over Harden. That kid looks like he thrives on the spotlight. He didn't back down guarding Bron Bron in Cleveland. And now he's starting to score and doesn't get into foul trouble either.

Winslow is the next Kawai. Unreal so many teams passed on him and Mudiay.

Porzingis might turn out to be a very poor man's Dirk Nowitzki, but I'm still pissed at Phil Jackson for taking him over Winslow or Mudiay.

Porzingis is better than I thought offensively. But he's still poor defensively, committing too many cheap fouls. He also has a penchant for charging fouls. That's an adjustment from Europe he needs to make.

But I'm more encouraged than I thought at this point -- about Porzingis and the Knicks. Porzingis isn't Rookie of the Year material, and the Knicks aren't a playoff team. But I don't think Porzingis is the second coming of Darko Milicic, either, and the Knicks will win more games than last year.

The next two steps are to trade Carmelo before the deadline and replace Derek Fisher with a real coach after this season.

My sons and I are enjoying the free preview of NBA League Pass. This is such an enjoyable league to watch, rivaled only by the NFL in America.

I'm loving the NBA right now. It won't ever pass hockey for me but it's passed every other sport I'll watch and that's just in the last two years or so. Love the NBA product right now and what if offers.

Porzingis looking good against the Cavs. He had 13 pts but got into foul trouble and is on the bench. The kid's got some upside but the Kincks coaches need to work with him on that.

Whiteside was the same way and the Heat coaches have worked with him on avoiding fouls and the last 3 games, he's played more minutes and now averages 2 fouls per game and his minutes are pushing 30 per game.

And Stat is shot. He's a shell of his former self. It was a gamble worth taking.

It might pass hockey for me if we had a team in St. Louis. But I am enjoying the NBA more than I have in the past. I'm all in on the Clippers.

Anyone wants to jump on the Sixers bandwagon I'd be happy to get you a "trust the process" pin :) Ironically, I am enjoying watching the Sixers games right now. Noel and Okafor are fun to watch. So much growth is needed but at least we have a few guys to watch now. Once Wroten, Covington and Marshall are back we will only lose by 6 instead of 12 :(

If Embiid had not been such a medical disaster, I'd be excited to follow them. It's just too depressing, as a Jayhawk fan. It does look like they have the beginning of a good team, though.

Hinkie may be pulling off the biggest con in the history of NBA management. I don't think he has a clue of what he's doing. Asset hoarding means nothing if you don't use those chips to land stars and field a competent NBA roster.
