Videos with that kind of impact on a man should require some sort of credit card age verification. Wowzers!

I'm the furthest thing from a "Star Wars" geek, but this game looks too tempting to resist. Should be a MONSTER.

Already have this pre-ordered on the PC. I'm thinking we will get enough interest here that it will be a XB1 purchase as well. Looks fantastic, I wish that had that mode from the old game with space battles and capturing control points on enemy ships but still this game looks so good!

Scratch this game off my list. I didn't realize that this game didn't have a single player campaign. Ah well. I'll still play the EA Access if there is one. Not paying full price for only multiplayer.

Those who wish to play the game in single-player mode will still be able to do so, despite the lack of a campaign mode. As previously reported, players can go solo offline using AI bots as members of their party.

If I play a Star Wars game solo, I want an actual story, not just Star Wars themed bots to fight.

This just saves me money because there are more games than I have time to play, or can really afford, for that matter.

Exactly. I really thought there would be some kind of story with this game. I'm not up in arms upset, but my gaming time is usually fairly short, and I generally prefer the single player experience. I never play online as much as I intend, so paying full price is too steep.

Has there ever been a story in a Battlefront game?

Huh, I dunno. The beauty of this game (IMO) is that you already know the story. You've watched it a million times. Now you get to be in the middle of the insane battles from the movies with all the tech, weapons and vehicles... Seems like a great idea to me!

Not that I remember. Likewise, I don't think this is new information is it? I thought they were saying from the get go that there was not a single player campaign or story and that it was more of a Titanfall type experience. Although, I guess Titanfall kind of has a story, but it is not really necessary.

I don't know. I've never played nor been interested in a Battlefront game. The Star Wars tie drew my interest, like I'm sure it has many. The lack of a solo campaign mode pretty much ends my interest.

I don't play a lot of MP, but Halo is always a good standby. With Halo 5 I get a solo campaign and great MP modes. I'll give BF a try if it drops into The Vault now.

There are so many games dropping this fall that I can't see spending $60 on BF unless it becomes the defining MP game of this gen. The money I would spend on BF can go to a lot of other games. Halo 5, RotTR, Madden, NHL, one of the NBA games, Forza 6, Fallout 4, and even Rock Band 4 provide better value for me.

Yeah, I wouldn't call what Titanfall has a story. It made sense to me at that time because it was early in the gen and there were fewer great games. It's a great, solid MP shooter. Again, I don't need another MP only shooter in my arsenal. Hell, if I get desperate, I still have a level 10 guy to level up in Destiny.

The only reason I thought SW:BF would be story driven is that I didn't know anything about BF, and it seems like the obvious thing to do. I'm probably just not the target, and I'm also probably not a part of a large demographic worth targeting.

This is my most anticipated game ever. Over 10 years since the last SWBF, which was one of my all time favorites. I remember when it was made backwards compatible on the 360 and it still picked up a good following on my friends list.

No but why ruin a good rant.

Also there is another SW game in development which may be single player.
