Son of a b*tch!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: The NFL 2014-2015
Really tough for him, looked so promising from his freshman year at OU.
He stayed an extra year out of loyalty to the school (which makes no sense, school makes a lot of money but the player with the pro prospects he had was risking a lot), got hurt, but still got drafted number one and still got the big contract.
So at least he'll be taken care of even if he never reaches his potential. He certainly earned more of his contract than say Damarcus Russell or Leaf. Beyond performance, he seemed like a high character guy.

He is a good guy and last year he was having his statistically best year before the injury.
I feel really terrible for him and me.

Fantastic game to kick off the season. Hawks will look to repeat, earlier said than done in the NFL. Lost some punch in the offense with Tate gone and Rice leaving the game but the core still there. Look forward to a healthy season with P. Harvin.
Go Seahawks.
Go Seahawks.
Re: The NFL 2014-2015
I hope Sherman gets beat two or three times tonight. I have Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb also

Steve Largent still looks fantastic, my favorite Hawks WR ever.

War Eagle!
That idiot Collinsworth even saw it.
Hawks go Tigers for the TD. Great play.

I drafted the Seahawks D in two fantasy leagues, so you can safely bet on a collapse from their historically strong performances the last couple years.

Re: The NFL 2014-2015
Just for future reference...my 12-1 Saints to win it all is obviously my prediction for this season. Apparently a lot of other people like that line too as three days later it was down to 8-1.
Re: The NFL 2014-2015
Well, it was good to see the beast mode back, the outside pass rush was just too much for Rodgers as they game wore on. I thought Z. Miller had a big game too, key catches by Harvin and the legion of boom didn't miss a beat.
A dominant performance.

Lynch looked amazing, and I was really impressed with Russell Wilson, too. Definitely no Super Bowl letdown from Seattle.

Super Bowl defending champ home teams are 11-1 on opening night. Not that big of a shock. Wait till next week for the letdown (if it comes).Brando70 wrote:Lynch looked amazing, and I was really impressed with Russell Wilson, too. Definitely no Super Bowl letdown from Seattle.

Re: The NFL 2014-2015
Over the last ten seasons the Rams have a record of 51-108-1.
What has changed this year? Nothing.
Down 13-0 to the Vikings after playing one of their worst halves of the decade.
Still a half to play.

Re: The NFL 2014-2015
It's really nice to see Miami with a competent offensive line. Lose all three starting LBs and still play dominant defense as well. The offense put them in a bad spot a few times and they held up nicely. At half it FELT like it was 35-7...good thing it wasn't. A few more accurate Tannehill balls and the Dolphins win margin is even greater. F the Pats.

Reminds me of my days playing with the Saints in 1981.....we were referred to as the "Aints" as fans showed up with bags on their heads in droves......and we sucked big time.XXXIV wrote:Its a decade long nightmare that just gets worse and worse.

Knowshon Moreno was the difference maker in the game. I can't believe the Broncos parted ways with him. If it weren't for 17 turnover points by the Dolphins, that was a blowout.

Id rather play on the worst team ever than be the rest of us. Must have been awesome!DivotMaker wrote:

Re: The NFL 2014-2015
Honestly, it was cool at the time, but in retrospect, it is a tough way to make a living and the long term effects of the brutality that the game exacts upon you physically is truly not worth it. Concussions, extreme arthritis, you name it. I had a cup of coffee with the NFL and got out without any major injuries and would not trade it for the world.....XXXIV wrote:Id rather play on the worst team ever than be the rest of us. Re: The NFL 2014-2015
FYI to anyone who wants to spring for the DirecTV Sunday Ticket TV thing. It works...quite well actually on the XB1. Since I was a directv customer before they knew my address wouldn't work...so had my buddy buy the subscription and use my new login info. Works like a charm.
Still not as good as full fledged directv version...mostly because or the streaming delay (around 2 minutes) so while you're watching live games you can't really watch a fantasy tracker or twitter for that matter. Only bummer I've found so far.

Agreed. Love Moreno.Rodster wrote:Knowshon Moreno was the difference maker in the game. I can't believe the Broncos parted ways with him. If it weren't for 17 turnover points by the Dolphins, that was a blowout.
I'm not saying the Pats aren't a good team but I saw SEVERAL network 'experts' pick them to win the Super Bowl this year. I just don't see it at all. Get off their jock already.
