Jimmy - I was so frustrated with the game by the time I got your invite I knew I was switching over to Ghost. The first match was the most run and gun affair i'd ever been part of playing BF3. The second game was a complete waste of time as I saw maybe 5 enemies on the ground the entire match (full room) as most others must have been zipping around in planes or helicopters or something....

Despite playing with randoms, I had a handful of good matches in Ghost.

Yeah, the inmates are in full control of the asylum in BF3 now, I'm afraid. GR is where I'm camping until MoH: Warfighter drops in October.

MOH: Warfighter I'm HOPING is a great game. Danger Close made a great SP the last go around. Hopefully they will try to include more than 4 MP maps into the mix this time.

Glad I didn't bite on the $50 premium package. I just sold BF3. I liked BFBC2 (plus Vietnam)better and can pop that in if I want a Battlefield fix.

Armored Kill came out today (a week ago for Premium subscribers). It's classic Battlefield - massive, massive stages and tons of vehicles. I posted some impressions;

Man - I have downloaded the Armored Kill expansion for 360 multiple times and it just won't show up in the game for me. I tried calling EA but they were no help.

I think I've tried downloading and then deleting and re-downloading the pack like 4 times.

Anyone run into this or read anything about it?

Help please!

Spooky - I downloaded it through the in-game menu and it worked fine. Are you sure you're not downloading and deleting the multiplayer updates? Each DLC has a stupid 'multiplayer update' that's a gig or so that downloads before you download the actual maps.

Thanks Macca. I had already downloaded the MP pack prior to the Armored Kill pack, but apparently it was not installed correctly or something. Re-downloading that MP pack solved the issue.

Whaddaya think, Spooky?

Haven't been able to play as much as I'd like in the past week but was totally back in love with BF3. I do think the maps are a bit too big but it's all about the vehicles - I'm actually learned to pilot a chopper without crashing in the first 15 seconds, the only problem is now I spent half my time trying not to get shot out of the sky by Stingers!

Only was able to do a brief preview of the new maps. They actually didn't seem that overly large to me. I was digging them though.

Still REALLY wish they'd have a training area for how to use aircrafts.

I cheated - but I am wondering now as I write this if you could do this in the console version - I played the PC version (I got both) and searched for empty servers that had a '1-player start' option! Then you just log into an empty German/French server in the middle of the night (for them at least) and practice flying to your heart's content! Like I said, got really handy with the chopper but it's a different ball game when people are shooting at you and gave me even more appreciation of some of those chopper wizards who fling that thing around the map, swooping up and down without crashing.

I had this game in my car for a month just waiting to trade it in. Boredom led me to fetch it last night a I played for a couple of hours. Based on this small sample size it appears as if the inmates have moved on the other games as the matches I played last night were all fantastic. The game felt very balanced to me. Good times for sure.
