Hey, Jared, a win's a win. Yeah, it was ugly, but Utah State almost took down the Sooners last year, didn't they? I'm not expecting anything out of those young kids this year, so I'll take whatever W we can get...

I LOVE Maryland's Uni's! They are sick!

Way to represent your state and state flag!

If anyone has been to Maryland, the helmet scheme is on all of their street signs, etc. Class UNI's!

Agreed. The Maryland state flag is uniquely attractive. Putting it on a jersey and helmet is not.

Then again, I think I was one of the few who thought Georgia's new unis were bad-ass.

Lapses in the secondary and penalties cost Miami that game. Morris looked really good. With the rap on Harris I think The U should start Morris at QB. Now that I gushed over Morris nice pick 6.

ARticle on how Nike built Oregon into a powerhouse. Their over-the-top uniforms, designed by Nike, helped in the recruiting.

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/690 ... ep-winning

The Maryland uniforms are from Under Armour.

So looks like the sports apparel companies are wielding more influence in the sport. The NCAA cares if players get some pocket money from boosters but universities and coaches getting millions to be billboards for Nike and such doesn't corrupt the sport.

Wow, what a difference a week makes! My Tigers looked superb today, and honestly, completely surprised me with that heart attack of a win against Mississippi State. Wow.

They didn't win. The refs allowed Auburn to win. MSU tied that game. How the F do they not review the second to last play that is 100%, without a doubt, a touchdown?

No, I know exactly what you're talking about, and unless you're some kind of conspiracy nut, anyone with eyeballs can see that he went out at the 2 yard line, and the ball was never stretched over the pylon. That was easy to see from all the angles. Non-story.

Yep, but it doesn't extend there if you're not IN BOUNDS when you cross it. Wow. Maybe if there were a few less beers in you when you saw it, it wouldn't have been so fuzzy...

The ball doesn't need to go over the pylon. As long as he doesn't step out of bounds or land first its a td. That's the point.

So a guy flies out of bounds at the two, and somehow that's a touchdown??? Help me out, here... :? Then why do players bother stretching the ball toward the pylon and risk a fumble? Hell, just dive toward the bleachers at the two, and fly far enough...really?

And I'll add this: As much as the commentators were drooling over Miss. State today, if there was any hint at all of a possibility of it, they would've dived over the press box to make sure the refs reviewed it.

He still has to have part of his body inside the pylon...which his foot was...no? Of course if they don't, then they can dive towards the bleachers. smh

So they always talk about where the BALL is...idiots. They should just worry where his foot was while it was sailing through the air, despite the ball being nowhere near the inside of the pylon, and despite him flying out at the two. Well, I've never heard that before, but I've heard it all now...

So you're telling me you've never seen a guy run towards the pylon and put his feet inside it while getting pushed out of bounds or whatever? You must not watch that much football. Look it up. Promise you I'm right. I'll bet you a game that the football does not HAVE to be inside the pylon for it to be a touchdown. Seriously.
