They might do, but Gervinho's from the Ivory Coast, where there might be a little more integrity on show. As an example, when was the last time you saw Didier Drogba dive or feign injury or oh never mind.10spro wrote:He should know that most SA players dive in that area the moment they feel a push, it's a culture.

I stand corrected. Gervinho is from IC.GB_Simo wrote:They might do, but Gervinho's from the Ivory Coast, where there might be a little more integrity on show. Entertaining 1st leg of the 'Super Cup' between Barca and RM. David Villa had a beauty.
The Fabregas transfer to his hometown is finally completed.

Here is the Villa goal. It came out of nowhere. Real/Barca has to be the best rivalry in all of sport.
Re: The Beautiful Game Thread, 11/12
That's a money shot in FIFA 11.

I am happy Barca was able to scrape two goals in that game.10spro wrote:Entertaining 1st leg of the 'Super Cup' between Barca and RM. David Villa had a beauty.

Real Madrid was playing very physical and sometime cynical soccer. Pepe was a brute. I can't believe he didn't get a yellow for his late challenge on Danny Alves and Marcelo's take down of Messi behind the play was CRAP!

What a debut for a Aguero dude.

Real with a disgraceful performance today against Barca. What a bunch of classless thugs, including that puke of a coach they have. I hope La Liga suspends that f***er a lot of games for what he did to Barca's asst. coach. How Pepe was not sent off by the end of the game I'll never know.
Re: The Beautiful Game Thread, 11/12
A sour ending to an otherwise exciting football match. Marcelo's foul on Fabregas's debut was criminal, no place for that crap and I doubt 'La Liga' will have the balls to suspend Mourinho for his ear pinching, probably a fine at best.
In the end a just result for the super cup champs as the best player in the world was the difference. From his two goals to his sublime through ball to Iniesta, Messi was a genius.

First off, let me say. That I hate Liverpool. Mostly because their fans are a bunch of jerks.
However, I think Daglish has filled the holes left by Benitez. They just seem tougher and less reliant on going behind then having their star players dig out a draw or a last minute win. With Carrol and Suarez they appear to have the ability to go up early. Something they didn't have in year past.
I think Arsenal has serious problems and it's the year where Wenger gets the boot.

Agree.....Arsenal look dismal and I can't see them going away to Udinese this week and staying in the CL.JRod wrote:First off, let me say. That I hate Liverpool. Mostly because their fans are a bunch of jerks.

He'll probably go through the same process like Benitez did in Liverpool, some will want him to stay, some will want to boot him out, but in the end the results will be louder than words.JRod wrote:I think Arsenal has serious problems and it's the year where Wenger gets the boot.

Despite not having an impressive lineup at this point in the season Newcastle now have 4 points after beating Sunderland. Taylor's goal on a free kick was very nice.

Yesterday was a very happy day for me. Winning the first leg of the Tyne-Wear derby was the major reason!toonarmy wrote:Despite not having an impressive lineup at this point in the season Newcastle now have 4 points after beating Sunderland. Taylor's goal on a free kick was very nice.

Just wondering how long you spent in Liverpool? or is it personal experience from being an away fan in the stands next to the Kop ? Or is it based on Macca's experience back from when Barnesy was playing? Do you have a scouse mate perhaps who stole your xbox to pay for his crack habit?JRod wrote:I was thinking of you when I typed that.RobVarak wrote:Classy.JRod wrote:First off, let me say. I've spent loads of time working in Liverpool, and stood (or sit) in the away ends of both Anfield and Goodison Park.
Here's my dream of Liverpool's waterfront

Samir Nasri eh ? Should keep the bench warm.
Anyone doing the Premiership Fantasy League this year ?

Thought I'd pop in to see how you all are. You'll be delighted to now that my levels of invective have been reduced in ferocity by having been prescribed beta-blockers
