Actually, I've known two people that had serious concussions that required hospital trips, (Snowboard, bike) and in both cases neither ended up remembering the actual hit and a chunk of time leading up to it. Anecdotal, sure, but I think this is actually really common. I know I've read a lot of accounts from football players who've been laid out that mention that they don't even remember playing in the game, let alone the hit or a short time before it.

It happens all of the time in fighting as well. Dude gets knocked out and when he comes through he doesn't even realize he was out. Starts to complain about the stoppage and everything.

I must say I am very intrigued as what is beyond the wall. Seems like the nobles like Tyrion think that its all made up myth as to the things that live there but the night watchers (??) who go out there know the myths are real.

I'd laugh if it wasn't entirely true.

I believe that same block is across the sea as well.

I like the show, but the whole 'jumping around' is a little odd. Their kid is in some kind of coma, & they both bail THEN both end up in the same city (and still no real discussion between the two about the assassination attempt). It's like there's some conversation I'm wanting to see that'll never happen. The 'kid out the window' is good drama, but I don't need it to drag out over 3 seasons.

BTW, having the Wire's Carcetti in this thing is awesome & majorly distracting.... :D

Next week looks like some big stuff is going to happen. Wonder what the kings bastard and the geonology book tie together. He will be next in line for the throne? Instead of young Lannister?

I am more then half way through Book 1 and while I cannot watch the series as I don't have HBO, the book is INCREDIBLE!

The jumping around happens in the book as well. Each chapter is named after a character. Ned has had the most chapters so far.

There is a terrific confrontation happening soon....HUGE!

I can't wait to watch this series in a year or two when Netflix gets it :)

Really, really enjoying this show.

My wife and I are both mesmerized by Khalisi Targaryen's massive character change in the span of a few episodes. I have the feeling she's going to become an epic badass of a ruler, and having Khal Drogo as a big hammer would certainly prove useful. Fantastic series.

Does Netflix get HBO shows?

If you have a Blu-Ray player, you have to rent the Blu Rays because the visuals in HD are fantastic. Streaming won't do it justice.

I get that same feeling.

I also wonder if Lady Stark might not have over stepped arresting the Lannister?

I was looking at the Kingsguard armor and thinking how cool that would look on my WoW Paladin. :P

I usually dont watch shows the first night they air as I wait to watch them on On Demand or DVD/blu ray but this one has joined The Office and South Park as one of three of my must see programs. Im hooked.

I've been thinking of the preview today. Seems like a lot of stuff is going to go down. The previous poster who is reading the book confirms that. I don't think I can wait. I will download the ebook and look for where the show leaves off from last night. Anyone know where I should start reading from?

Good episode....That hour goes by fast. Ended too soon.

The s*** is indeed hitting the fan for Ned.

He breaks up with the king, his wife survives an ambush, his sis in law is a total nut job, his guard gets a sword through his head and he gets a spear in the back of the leg...I know Im forgetting stuff...Still...Thats a rough hour.

Dont know why they needed the scene with the king's bro to go that far... I can do without those sucking sounds. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Great show! :D

More than one sucking scene in tonight's events, actually.

I wonder about the staging of that 'breastfeeding' scene with the young actor...

Good episode, only thing I didn't like was the melodrama w/ the king/queen.

One thing got me thinking, was the visit to the whore and bastard girl baby a setup by littlefinger to have Ned there so Lannister could trap him?

And one thing that I didn't get, when the eunuch and littlefinger were arguing, did I catch it correctly that littlefinger likes to bang fresh corpses?

I just finished watching it on my laptop. I'm not going to spoil anything, but I will give you this warning- if you do watch episode 7 a week early, the two week wait for episode 8 is going to be unbearable.

I re-watched both episodes last night. I got to say I'm almost done w/ this show. Why? Because Ned is such a dumb f***! It'll be good to skip a week for me.
