I've probably mentioned this before, but a couple of months before that glorious afternoon in Cardiff, we beat your lot 3-0 at the Vic on the wettest Friday night it's ever been my misfortune to stand outside in. Adam Boyd, who looks in good touch so far this season, took you to pieces - his 3rd goal, which I can't find a decent video of anywhere and might rip myself if I have the time and can work out how, was as fine a piece of individual skill as you'll see anywhere, in any league.
Should be a good one, since we've both started solidly enough. Has there been any more word on our former Director Of Sport and chief executive rocking up at Hillsborough?
Yes, 3-0 when it didn't matter. 4-2 on that "glorious day in Cardiff". I don't believe there is a single player on the WEdnesday side that is still with the team. Sad that 2 of the players in that game are now in the Premier League
Apparently, Twitcher has become the first English coach since 1998 to lead a team into the group stage of the CL.
I've got my fingers crossed that he breaks another record - first coach to lead a team's CL challenge from behind bars.

Maybe 25 or 30 years ago. AC were poor last season and look little improved. Calling Ajax a shadow of its former self is an insult to shadows. Auxerre are still from League 1, if I'm not mistaken. Real, despite its flaws, in a cakewalk.

I think Inter's group is a shade more group of death for Tottenham. Young boys make it more of a contest and now they have to face Inter, Werder Bremen and a good FC Twente side.

Then again looking at how well they under perform in CL games, it may not be a given. Different coach this time.
I like Liverpools chances this year, got an easy group...wait ,what?, we didnt? Mascherano is paying out of his own pocket to leave, what? Well Benyoun may get a full game now ..wait what? AAAHHH bollocks to it.
Nice CL hangover from Spurs, twitching their way to a superb home defeat by Wigan, and nicely booed off.
Just imagine what'll happen when they play someone better than some Swiss no-marks.

Scholes is a rancid ginger snide cheat who should have accumulated more red cards than Vieira, and Giggs is a moron who looks like a something chiseled onto a 14th century church.
West Ham are abysmal. Grant had the excuse of no funds at Pompey, but he'll need to come up with something good to explain this gutless performance.

Never liked Ryan Giggs as a player quite as much as I feel I should. I think he's a good player but everyone seems to think he's absolutely outstanding, including top pros (and they usually know in any sport), so who am I to argue. Despite the fact that Dave will love this, I have to say I'd take David Silva as a wide midfield player over Giggs any day of the week, even if Giggs were ten years younger. It'll be interesting to see how Silva goes in the EPL.
I hate them because they play for United - they could have won f**k all and I'd still despise them.

Driving nowhere in particular this afternoon, I overtook a minibus full of City fans on their way home, each and every one of them looking like someone had just pissed in their cornflakes and asked if they'd like sugar with that. They ought to know better than most that a 1-0 away defeat in the top flight needn't be the end of the world, especially when you could be, I don't know, in League One and having 5 put past you at home on account of being an utterly useless pack of incompetent shitehawks.
