I love two sports games, NHL and NCAA. NHL 10 delivered this year and I'm really excited about NCAA 11.

Nice! Hopefully some of that makes its way to Madden also.

Demo will be released on Monday:

Well that would certainly make life easier on me

Just editing stories instead of trying to write them from scratch? Saves countless hours.

Demo hits today for both 360 and PS3. Just a reminder in case anyone was living in a bubble.

Apparently it's up for the 360 already -- early impressions are very positive.

What are you trying to say? :) I didn't know but then gaming has taken a back seat to other things lately. Thanks though for the notice!

Gaming has definitely taken a back seat to lot of other things for me as well. So while I was anticipating the release of the demo, I'm not as super excited as I have been in recent years. Hoping one of the two football games delivers this year!

I don't have enough time to play some of the full games I want to play, let alone all the demos of games I know(maybe) I am going to buy anyways.

Then again my gaming time has shrunk and shrunk over the years. The last game I bought was Left 4 Dead - the game before that was NCAA 10.....

I am moving to Huntsville, AL in a couple of weeks.. I might not even have time to play NCAA this year...

I'm not into College ball but I thought the demo was solid and looks to be a very good game this year. I like how the CPU AI, mixes up the run and pass. I also like how the RB's sometimes try and fight for yardage after the initial hit.

The only way i'd buy NCAA 11 is if the Erin Andrews hotel video is an unlockable achievement.

Well color me impressed.

This just doesn't feel like any EA football title I've ever played, it is amazing what this locomotion can do. Will take some getting used to and I am hoping it is a bit tighter in the final release but the demo is solid.

ESPN presentation is nice, but the on field game play is very good. I was amazed at the errant passes and some of the hits wow. I've seen some plays that looked so realistic I was smiling.

Of course I've seen a few bizarre ones as well but so far the good outweighs the bad. I don't like the new play call menu, I think the PA announcer sounds awesome when you can hear him. Seen a lot of guys running wide open, and it's refreshing to see the safeties can't make up the whole field when a pass is thrown.

This might be my game because I am really let down by the Madden news.

The one thing I do like about the play calling is how hurry up works now. You have a whole bunch of plays to choose from. I'm not sure if it's your whole play book or just everything from your current formation set but it's nice.

What is up with the difficulty in the demo? I played my first game on all american, Texas vs OU, and I won 42-0 with 2 min qtrs! I had three pick six TDs, a kickoff return TD, a 75 yd rushing TD and a 40 yd pass TD. I normally play on this level every year, but it is like playing on beginner in the demo.

I played the same matchup on Heisman and lost 21-14. I got up 14-0 but then it seemed like the AI just decided to cheat. The CPU qb was getting all the time in the world to pass, and my wrs started dropping everything even with nobody around them. I did see the CPU go deep on me three times though. I was shocked when they threw the ball 60 yds downfield, I think that was an EA football first for me.

I did like the feel of the game, the running in particular seems well done, very fun spinning out of tackles. The blocking seems improved, returning kicks is pretty cool. I also think the defensive player control is great. Engaging the blockers then flicking the stick to spin out of the block feels right, and the new way you can hold down the A button to let the CPU keep your player in position is very helpful if you want to control a DB.

That being said, no way can I buy this game with the AI as is. It is like going from Varsity to Heisman this year between AA and Heisman. So I can either blow the CPU out every game, or have no fun playing on Heisman :(

I lost 10-7 on AA and loved every minute of it.

I never want to play you HipE. :)

Love the presentation, the locomotion or whatever feel to it, there were some really neat animations, especially the RB's and a few nice catches.

I also like the missed throws, etc.. can't wait to see the full verison in action with named players.

The pro combat uniforms are nice, especially Mizzou's.

This game will see tons of playing time for sure.

Trust me, I'm not even any good at EA football. Maybe my game was just an aberration?

I really hope it was, because the presentation and control was spot on. I'll have to try a few other teams and see how it goes.

Anyone else seeing a ton of fumbles? I swear, it felt like I was playing the Backbreaker demo all over again.

8O Whoa, I would never want to play against you either. Now I really feel bad losing 7-0 on Varsity.

I only played a couple of games and got the same feeling as Hipe with the difficulty settings as I won 35-7 on All American and lost 24-10 on Heisman. Like being able to select your play while running the hurry up offense and also being able to hit the Y button to bring up your special teams plays.

Are there two demos or something? I have had a similar experience as HipE. At All-American level I am destroying the computer at will on offense, and the cpu cannot score on me. It's one big play after another on both the ground and in the air. Through several games the cpu has not even come close to scoring on me. I tried a half on Heisman and the AI seemed pretty pathetic on that as well. I am far from a great EA football player. There are some nice aspects to the game, but the lack of difficulty and horrid AI are really leaving me disappointed. Surely this isn't the final AI code for the game. Then again, the game comes out pretty soon, so maybe it is.

The play of the game was where the Clemson RB gained like 3 yards, wft is that about?

I do love the way the AI plays, they busted a 59 yd td run and threw a bomb - also, since Clemson plays the spread, they come up to the line really fast after a completion, should be interesting playing different teams.
