I haven't played an FM game since 07, so I defer to DaveT and Squid about the worth of FM 2010. I really like the new interface, for what it's worth! Very clean and intuitive.
Take care,

On the dugout, people have already made custom leagues, etc. Link is below. Right now, I've got the 5 tiered American one loaded so that the MLS has promotion/relegation. also have San Marino for shits and giggles.
You can buy the mac version online. I don't have the link but you can find it stickied on the FM forums.
I'm having so much fun with FM this year. Played (or managed) around 20 games and watched them all. I've taken the Spurs (yeah yeah, nothing special), our big signing has been Ronaldo - no, the other Ronaldo - for 2.5m. Over payed? We'll see:)

VERY addicting.. stayed up way too late last night.
They have done a terrific job for n00bies like myself who just don't understand footie all that well yet. It was easy to setup and start with an easy team like Real Madrid.
I love all the help the game gives you and the new interface is top notch!!!
Yeah the second update has really made a significant improvement. I hadn't played it for a few weeks and it is a heck of a lot slicker.
On the downside, in my new game I am in charge of Spurs and am currently tucked in behind the leaders in 5th. On the upside, I've edited Roberto Mancini into the manager's chair at Man City and they are 3rd...and they pasted us 4-0 at White Hart Line, where I think my jumping up and shouting 'get in !!' probably didn't go down well with the home fans

I'm loving the editor files that are available now. I have a file that makes the English pyramid playable down to level 10 and all those cups. Have Fiji and Trinidad playable, etc.
I am really bummed that you can't watch full matches in the PSP version. What a lame decision that was. Otherwise I'm enjoying it (you can now DL from the US PSN store).

I saw it was available in psn store, and thought about DL it.

Compared to the PC version it is extremely bare bones. I'm not a big fan of straight text sims so being able to watch the matches was a big part of my enjoyment with FM2010. The PSP version only has "highlights" available to watch during the game so it makes getting a feel for the other team really difficult IMO. Personally I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you're a die hard text sim fan and don't mind "imagining" how the actual match is being played out. Plus I think you can only have four leagues going at one time (e.g. EPL, SPL, spain and italy) and only one of those can have all of the lower leagues. That hasn't bothered me too much though. The layout of the actual game is very well done and it is quite snappy between screens. I'm still getting used to moving quickly around to find what I need but haven't gotten frustrated at all just yet. It is a bit of a learning curve coming over from the PC game.
LIke I said, not being able to watch a full 2D match play out was a huge bummer but otherwise it is about what I expected.
Man City was my first save after buying the game. Then I end up winning the EPL and FA cup in my first season with no purchases.
Going into second year, brought in Chiellini from Juve for 45 mil pounds, and Gourcuf for 25 mil, and young for 25, Akinfeev for 20m. But the team isn't playing well even though we're 6-0-1 and 2-0 in CL play. Last year we scored a bunch of goals beating team 4-0 even Arsenal and Man U. This year, we are just getting 2-1 wins. Need to work on my new tactics.
DiegoHull over at the Dugout has added some fictional cup competitions that might be fun to load up. The UEFA competition involving second-tier clubs sounds fun. Link below.
