TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — PETA is taking on what it describes as a new affront to animals: NASCAR fans doing the chicken dance.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals asked Guinness World Records Inc. on Monday to ignore an attempt to set a world record for the largest group chicken dance at the Talladega Superspeedway, site of the Aaron's 499 race on Sunday.

The reason? KFC is the sponsor of the record attempt, and the animal rights group says the fast-food company is cruel to chickens.

A KFC spokesman defended the company's treatment of animals and said it hoped to get 125,000 race fans involved in the mass dance.

I know someone else that better be worried.

Popeye's Chicken was having a national special where you can get 8 pieces of chicken for 4.99. Only problem is, the one in Mpls on Lake Street is privately owned and did not take part in this offer. The line went around the block, and at one point they had to call 6 Mpls Police officers to keep the peace.. LOL

One guy they interviewed said he had taken a cab from Burnsville to Popeye's on Lake Street(the only Popeye's in Minnesota). A cab driver called in saying that it would cost 80-110 dollars to get there from Burnsville LOL..

Proof that fried chicken can turn people nuts. The audio KQ92 had was just great, too. I've never had Popeye's. Is it that good?

Not really. It is more of a Cajun style version of KFC. Only thing I would eat there are the biscuits.
