From the preview
Also adding to the authenticity of the tournament atmosphere are USGA officials that will be standing at every hole and a USGA rulebook that can be pulled up and referenced, much like the pros can throughout their day.

The game has full USGA licensing which gives the game the US Open rights. Not sure if it means anything else, but am hopeful it means what you are asking.
My keyboard is sticky with the anticipation. The fact they are focusing on use Tour Mode guys and not Gamernet challenges or the goofy Tiger Challenege makes me a happy camper.
I think you are going to like what they have done with Tiger Challenge. Not sure I can comment on that yet until I read the preview....thanks for posting this BD!

Well there's the Rules of Golf so that's what I'm asking because Tiger doesn't like to follow the Rules of Golf at times.

Agreed.
My Tiger purchases over the past few years has gone Wii / 360 / PS3, this looks like a good year to go back to Wii.
It sounds like TW 10 will be a worthy purchase on the 360. If EA can get the controls to work like they do in Wii Sports Golf then i'll probably get that as well.

I can say that using the Wii Motion + made the swing feel completely 1:1 and executing shots was rewarding.

Excellent
When your NDA is lifted, which version are you going to talk about, the PS3 or 360?

I got to see the videos when I got home from work this morning... veddy nice! This is already the strongest indication I've gotten from EA Sports that they have listened to the Tour Pro minded player, and did something about it. Having one putter will bring some credibility to the game. I just hope they don't go overboard giving us graphic gimmicks (like the graphical overlay they mention in the preview) that undermine the inherent difficulty of using your own senses to regulate the stroke.
Reat time weather should do a lot for spicing up this game and varying the challenge. I'm anxious to learn more!
JRod wrote:If they just repackaged the Tiger Challange mini-games this year, that will piss me off. That's all they really do. We'll see.
From what I saw on Tiger Challenges (albeit a brief glimpse, but enough to get a flavor for the direction) I think you will like how they incorporate more of the Pros and PGA TOUR than in the past and I think there will be a "Feel the Drama" flavor to them....as soon as my NDA is lifted I can say exactly what I saw.

Stay tuned for more on this when my NDA is released. This is one of the features that I gave EA alot of feedback about while at Tiburon and they sent me an email telling me they implemented the feedback I gave them after I had returned home. TOUR Pro and simulation users will love it, I think....
Beginning to froth at the mouth after last night's information. Tiger Woods 09 was definitely a good step in the right direction, but still had alot more to accomplish for me to give it credit as golf simulation. Appears we'll be even closer with TW 10.
Divot, look forward to all your good tidbits once the NDA is lifted.
fsquid wrote:The Wii looks much better on the videos. Anyone know when that MotionPlus thing is supposed to come out?
It was expected to come out May/June but it was conspicuously absent from a Nintendo release date list last week. Looks like it might be delayed a few months into July or August.
Pete wrote:I am sorry if this has been answered but is this game going to be on the PC this year?
And if it is, will it have all of the features that the console versions have?
I still play the '06 PC version. While I really enjoy that, it is about time I upgrade.
Yes, it is coming for the PC, but it will be coming out much later than the console versions. EA has completely rebuilt the PC version and as such it wil take them longer to get it out. Not sure at this point about features, but it will be very different in many respects than what you are accustomed to as far as the PC version is concerned.
