Of course it is, but the 360 takes that aggravating "PC specs" issue right off the table. Ends forever the whole dance of turning off graphical features, downloading new drivers etc.

True, but the PC version has one major advantage over the 360 version. No need to explain. ;)

Well yeah...that and the fact that you can actually use a Keyboard and a Mouse. That's almost an even bigger advantage for me. LOL...but you're right.

BTW PK...it may take a little longer for you to get it through the normal channels. Bioshock is a Valve/Steam game, so there will be some problems.

I was thinking the same thing. At least it's on sale this week at Circuit City $49.99(360) and $39.99(PC).

Yeah, I saw the "Internet connection required for registration" label in some forums.

No worries. I have plenty of other games to keep me busy. Just grabbed SWAT 4 and FSW: Ten Hammers for the PC for a shooter/tactical military fix. Both are fun.

And yet, I can guarantee that I'll end up logging incomparably more time with Halo 3.

I'm pretty undecided as to what to do about Bioshock. I'm only in position to pick up one game in the next month or so, and Halo is a no-brainer. I'm torn between waiting for the prices to come down on eBay and picking up a new copy, blasting through it and then trading it in when Halo comes out.

Whoa man, I'll grab the occassional CD, but even my Incredible Sliding Scale of Ethics(TM) gets a little wonky if I grab a whole game. Unless it's EA of course :) But I'm a libertarian on this point, so c'est la vie.

Especially if its Irrational Games and Ken Levine. System Shock, Freedom Force, Tribes and now Bioshock. Those guys deserve every penny from their games so they will keep making more! :)

An EA jab is quite fitting for this thread by the way, seeing how they now have the System Shock trademark. A quote directly from Levine in a CVG article from about a year ago....

"One of the reasons I wasn't interested [in System Shock 3] is EA just didn't give a s*** about that game", he said, continuing: "I think if EA were to do it, it would've been just a regular first-person shooter with a boss monster at the end".

Considering pirating took out EHM, I don't think it should even be hinted at on this forum.

Yup count me among the few. I got back into PC gaming because of Microsoft's shoddy hardware.

I'm a recent convert to PC gaming. Enjoying the PC games themselves more than I ever did in 20 years of console gaming because of the greater "tune-ability," active, generous mod communities and greater attention to sim detail that most PC games have compared to their console counterparts.

I miss the fellowship of XBL, but it's not worth a minimum investment of $500 and the inevitable RROD.

That's what got me back to PC gaming. I just received all my parts for my PC upgrade. It cost me about $500 but it should be sweet. Trying to squeeze a little more performance from Flight Simulator X, damn what a beautiful game and talk about a sim. If you're into aviation you might might to check it out PK. If you do I can steer you into some sweet addons.

Eh, you're just a cheap bastard...costs more to upgrade a computer than to buy a console, but cheap bastard that you are, I guess that's a moot point...

Yeah, but that computer can be used for a hell of a lot more than a console. Sure, consoles now have movie players and streaming media capabilities, but when's the last time you've used Firefox, Excel, Word, done desktop graphics, etc., on your 360?

Plus you can get a solid PC these days for $800 or so. I'm sure many of you cats have that much invested in your 360 already between initial hardware outlays, peripherals, XBL subscription, game purchases, etc.

And yes, I'm a cheap bastard ... :) Now back to Bioshock, damn it!
