If they fix the skating issues...you bet. They just need more animations. The animations were night and day between it and 2k7. The mechanics are much better in 07 though...so I've got high hopes as well.

Reading the interview I am hopeful that players will be able to set up in the offensive zone, work the puck around, especially during the PP, because that is one particular thing that really needs to happen for it to feel more like a true Hockey game.

Now that is MEGA cool. My Syracuse Crunch will be "in the game!"

Take care,

Oh, I know, pillow biter. I just think it's cool that the AHL will be included in the game for 360 cats.

Hugs and f*cks,

Not that it happens often in the NHL today but someone has to grasp the concept of how to do a proper fight. Grabbing each others' jersey and dancing around the rink is not what fans what to see. Even on the current version I had the aggresion level elevated and fighting to its max, and you could hardly see a scrap happening. Hope they improve it for 08.

What will not be cool is if Madden doesn't have the World Football League teams and NCAA doesn't have any Division 1AA teams. If that is the case, and I don't know for sure if it is, then I think that Tiburon Studios has some 'spaining to do.

Especially in NCAA's case. When your team plays "NCAA South East" instead of Georgia Southern, then you are not playing the real schedule and that is not good.

But if EA doesn't arcade the game up too much, it could be the sports game of choice for me. EA Canada has always done a great job on game presentation, and if the gameplay is solid (more like NHL 2004 than 2005) it will be a winner. But I agree that the fighting seems to get worse every year.

I like all of the ones I have seen so far.

Really dig the caps socks.

The Bruins look very 1970's--ish... a good thing.

I'll be getting this one vice 2K to start out this year. What I really wish we could do is combine the control scheme of EA with the new camera angle that 2K Sports introduced last year. We'd have near perfection.

I'm really looking forward to both titles this year. I just hope they both run at 60 fps and have the camera angle that 2k introduced last year.

I too loved the 2k7 camera angle. Even if EA doesn't use a similar camera they should for once add more options. The camera angles for every EA for nearly a decade have been pretty crappy. What would be best would be a custom camera like some NBA games have.
