Lucky, lucky Mavericks. They may very well close them out now...the Warriors choked that game away and who knows if they will recover. At least they get to go back home for the next game instead of playing another game in Dallas. That should help a bit...but the lack of experience really showed...a 15-0 run...are you kidding?

Naw...the Warriors would be a tough matchup with the Suns...seriously. You'd actually see the Suns slow it down and bang with Amare all game long and run sporadically...seriously. I mean, I'm seriously serious. I almost would rather see Dallas, but lets not get too carried away. I really think SA is the biggest hurdle for the Suns...they haven't beaten them in the playoffs the way they have Dallas.Inuyasha wrote:West is setting up well for the Suns. Even if Dallas survives, I think it's the Suns legs that will beat the old spurs and mavs. If the Warriors get to the West Finals, I think the Suns beat them easy.

Got to hand it to Baron for fighting thru the injury. The Baron of the Past I've seen would not have tried to come back.
Dirk should change his name to Casper. Great job by Nelson with gameplanning him.
Here's a 100 percent lock : Utah is going to win game 7 vs Houston. McGrady is going to feel the pressure in game 7 to get them out of round 1 and I dont think he can handle it. Utah / Warriors should be a good series to watch.

Whewwww!
After the injury, I had an uneasy feeling. Mavs seemed to be shooting well but it turned out to be only Stackhouse because despite the torrid 3-point shooting, they were under 40% at the half.
Yet the Warriors were only up by 2.
What rescued the Warriors was the unconscious 3-point shooting -- although we were getting wide-open looks -- and the Mavs collapse in the 3rd quarter.
Game 5, I thought they squandered great shooting, over 50% from 3-point range. They must have shattered that mark tonight.
I don't know what they're going to do though, if they can't push the pace against Houston or Utah if BD is not able to play with the pace he's been playing at the last quarter of the season and this series. Utah and Houston can punish the small lineup inside.
Of course they have to defend it too, especially if Harrington can shoot like he was before the playoffs.

does it really matter, if I was a Warriors fan this would be like winning the NBA Championship. Their season is a success already so everything they get after this is extra.
Nice to see Baron Davis' interview after the game, showed some class and seemed like he wasn't satisfied. Cool to see how the Warrior players went out in the crowd too to meet the fans.

Nelson has had teams which had big upsets in the first round of the playoffs.
We beat Spurs with Robinson (before Duncan) and also the Jazz when Eaton was still around, I think Stockton wasn't starting yet.
Then they'd get punked in the second round by the likes of Tom Chambers because they were playing the small lineup and they couldn't play zone.
Nelson would get flabbergasted that the team would be called for so many illegal defenses, since he helped write that rule.
This is still house money so I have no illusions about them going much farther, especially if Baron can't play like he did the first 5 games.
I'm rooting for Houston to win because Boozer is a much tougher matchup offensively and defensively than Yao. Okur can also pose problems and Kirilenko looked good tonight. Also Harpring abuses our small lineup.
Winner of the Spurs-Suns matchup is going to the Finals. I said before the playoffs that the Spurs looked best heading in. Although they looked good running off 4 straight against Denver, they didn't have much resistance there as Nuggets couldn't shoot at all to take pressure off AI and Anthony. Suns should shoot a lot better, even likely to shoot the lights out in stretches or whole games.

I'm a Bears season ticket holder and paid the price for a PSL to stay one. The tickets have been in my family since I was 3. A Bears loss ensures a bad week for me. You're goddamn right I'm going to say "we".dbdynsty25 wrote:I love fans that say "we" when referring to "their" team. That's awesome!

You could be blowing Devin Hester and Rex Grossman at the same time...that doesn't make you any more likely to be part of the team.ScoopBrady wrote:I'm a Bears season ticket holder and paid the price for a PSL to stay one. That didn't work for you because you came to the party late. The Bears are the only team I say "we" for. I really don't care what you or others think about saying "we" when talking about your favorite team. You just said that Golden State fans were the best because they were going crazy. That implies that the fans made it difficult for Dallas and they made a difference in the game. Most people would agree that the crowd can have an effect on a game. As someone who goes to every Bears home game, I feel like a part of the team, not a member of the team, there's a difference. I don't feel the same way about the Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, or Sox because I only catch them every once-in-a-while. I don't expect you to understand because you don't even live in the same state as any of the teams you root for. Make fun of me for feeling this way all you want, it won't change a thing on my end.dbdynsty25 wrote:You could be blowing Devin Hester and Rex Grossman at the same time...that doesn't make you any more likely to be part of the team.ScoopBrady wrote:I'm a Bears season ticket holder and paid the price for a PSL to stay one. So are you saying that I cannot be a "true" or "die-hard" fan because I don't live in the same state as my favorite teams? That seems a little silly since I'm pretty sure I've went to more Suns games than you've went to Bulls/Blackhaws/Cubs/Sox games combined, and I lived 420 miles away from them. But then again, I probably can say "my" or "we" with regards to the Suns since my mom works directly for D'Antoni...yet, i don't think it's right since I don't have a nameplate in the locker room or my name in the media guide. It's just a pet peeve...I'm not attacking you or anyone else that says "we", it is just annoying to me. And yes, a lot of things annoy me. We've already drawn that conclusion.ScoopBrady wrote:I don't expect you to understand because you don't even live in the same state as any of the teams you root for. Nope, just saying that you don't live close enough to go to every game so you wouldn't look at it like I am.dbdynsty25 wrote:So are you saying that I cannot be a "true" or "die-hard" fan because I don't live in the same state as my favorite teams?
One of my pet peeves are people that feel the need to make a comment on everything but you don't see a post of mine that reads "I love people that comment on everything, usually with a snide comment. That's awesome!"

I don't want this thread to get any more jacked than it has though so I'll be topical and say that I actually think the Bulls can take the series from the Pistons and way to go Warriors.

Then the one thing you might want to consider is that you should mind your own f*cking business since I wasn't talking about you anyway. Try that one out sometime.ScoopBrady wrote:One of my pet peeves are people that feel the need to make a comment on everything but you don't see a post of mine that reads "I love people that comment on everything, usually with a snide comment. I moderate the boards so every post is my f*cking business. I do find it funny how a tiny little dose of your own medicine causes you to react with the post I quoted above. Maybe if you kept in mind that is how you make most other people want to react 12 times a day before you post conversations like this wouldn't have to happen.dbdynsty25 wrote:Then the one thing you might want to consider is that you should mind your own f*cking business since I wasn't talking about you anyway. Oh, and how about that Game 7 tomorrow between Utah and Houston? Should be a helluva game!
