I will try and check the 360 team ratings as soon as I get my monitor (could be today or tomorrow) unless someone wants to lend me a hand by checking the team ratings. We're looking for B rated teams or lower. As of now, these teams are taken:
*Boston College
*Colorado State
*Hawaii
*Iowa State
*Kansas State (Badgun you need a different team)
*Maryland
*Mizzou
*Miss St
*Navy
*Nevada
*Okie St
*Ole Miss
*Pitt
*San Diego State
*TCU
*UCLA
*Virginia
*Washington
*Western Mich
*Wisconsin (glen haag is taking them)
20 teams in.
If the 360 team ratings are different than the Xbox we may need readjust some stuff but this is what we have thus far.

I noticed that Northern Illinois is rated a B. As long as FK's roster didn't adjust their overall ratings I'd like to play as them rather than the Aztecs.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
Yeah guys I will post the full B and B- team list today. I finally got the new monitor and the 360 is up and running. The team ratings are different than the XBox.
OK this is a repost from the blog with all of the updated info. If you signed up, please read as you may want to change your team.
First off, this monitor freaking rocks. Truly amazing, not just for the 360, but my PC has turned into what seems like a new machine. World of Warcraft running in 1920x1080 widescreen res is simply astounding. Bill = Happy. All I need now is to get audio working for the 360 and I'm set. I need sunglasses for this damn thing. Yeow.
OK, back to business. If you signed up for the NCAA 32 Team Tourney, we have a few changes since I am now able to view team ratings. Below is a list of the B and B- rated teams, with the * designating teams that are taken. If the team you picked before is now a B- or if you'd just like a new team from the ones that are listed, please let me know ASAP.
I switched to Wake Forest from Pitt because I didn't care for Pitt's roster. Plus I suck at the 360 version..I need a B team!
Keep checking this post for any team changes.

Folks, I have noticed some odd disparities between the offline ratings of the teams and the ratings online. This was true last year in the Xbox version as well (noticed it after dividing the teams into grade categories for the league). For example, Cal online seems to have an A or A- overall rating, while offline I think it shows up as B+. And Cal has B+, B+ for Offense and Defense, so why it would show up as an overall A- online I just don't get.
What I discovered last year with the abortive league was that there are a few more ratings categories than just Offense and Defense, but you can only see them in the matchups screen in a dynasty. I don't know if that is possible in the 360 game, but there it is.
I don't think I really have a point with this, just wanted to let folks know that weirdness and inconsistency abound with these team ratings.

Bill -
If your existing computer speakers do not support optical audio input (for DD5.1) then take a look at the Logitech z-5500's. I know you probably don't want to drop another $200+ for surround speakers, but their z-5xxx line is outstanding and for "computer speakers" hold up well against many dedicated home theater in a box setups costing 5x as much. The z-5300's are just about as good for a little less, but they lack the DD5.1 direct input (the 5300's include a stereo input with a game adapter for connecting consoles, which is basically an adapter that goes from RCA (L/R stereo) female to miniplug male (to plug into the speaker system). That would get you sound to your speakers, but it wouldn't be true DD5.1 unless you go with the 5500's.
Your existing computer speakers can be used (even if it's just stereo, or 2.1), you just need to get an adapter at Radio Shack (RCA to 3.5mm miniplug), and then use the Red/White stereo cables coming from the 360 (along with the component cables for video of course).

I know he was thinking about the 24" Dell from his blog...
I hope he's happier with his than I am of mine in terms of 360 performance. There is such a thing as "too good" of a monitor for HD but I know he plays a lot of computer games so it's not a bad choice by any means...just not outstanding when it comes to displaying the 360 content...at least I don't think it is on my Dell. As long as he didn't get the 24" to dedicate to 360 gaming then he will be as pleased as I am...it's one hellova monitor for computer gaming and regular PC use.
And yes, what DB said. For PC work and gaming this thing is godly. WoW at 1920x1080 widescreen is just sick. As for the 360, it certainly looks good enough for me -- as I was coming from an Xbox on a 7 year old SD Zenith. But yeah, I have seen better 360 displays although it's not like I am playing NCAA thinking it looks like crap, if that makes any sense. Right now I'm fiddling with the settings as the 360 stuff looks a little dark to me. That's really the only thing that looks a tad off.
The plan is to still get the 56" DLP for the living room either around Christmas or sooner whenerver the old house sells. When that happens I will most likely move the 360 to that TV, depedning on how it looks compared to the monitor.
Oh, and to keep this on topic..Joel replaced Hawaii with Arkansas.
Haha...just checking. I was wondering if they reduced the resolution in the later models...but my buddy just got his 2407 and it seemed to perform the same as mine even though I've read that it performs better than my 2405.
Thanks for the info guys I am looking to upgrade my 20 inch ultra sharp which I love when I get a new PC very soon. I am just so behing in knowing what to get PC wise it isn't funny.
I'm not sure if i want to go with anothe alienware, since my current one is what I am replacing and I've had issues with it. Anyway this is off topic so thanks.

Actually it's 1920x1200 isn't it? At least that's what mine runs natively at.
Which is probably why it maybe doesn't look to hot with a 360 (or any 720p/1080i source). Any non-native resolution and LCD's have to start working overtime to keep things looking good.
Bill, you might want to try getting the VGA adapter for the 360 (from a place you could return it if you don't like it), which will give you the ability to output PC monitor friendly resolutions. Reading over at AVSforum.com in their gaming section, I know alot of 360 owners have had good luck with it compared to the component video 720p or 1080i connection.

Bill, if he is switching away from K State, then I'd like to switch from UNC to K State. I see someone on your blog had asked for UNC before me anyway.
