I don't think I ever played this online even once, so never had a problem with it.

I like the OS rosters I downloaded the other day (any roster that gets TO the heck out of Philly are OK in my book!), but am interested in trying out these new ones I mentioned in my last post. It seems like they really add to the gameplay.

I'm still keeping my eye on Madden, but like I said it'll be hard to drop $60 on it when 2K5 still has a good pair of legs on it. I did pick up NCAA 07 in a trade, since my only other college game is pretty old. To be honest though I usually end up playing only the Army-Navy game! Anchors Aweigh baby!

And so begins the descent of this thread into a Madden vs 2k pissing contest.

Why did you even need to go there with this thread?
Doesn't it suck when people come into a thread about one game, put it down and talk about another? It's almost like they have an agenda. Good thing you never do that 8O
So now I have an agenda?

Hmmm, to me it looks like I'm the one he's taking aim at. I guess we'll see when he responds.

Rosters will be updated on a set schedule and include stat adjustments, sliders are included in the various options files, he tells you how to load this years schedule, and he even links to the music you can download for the "Drama Mode". Reviews of it so far look good, so I may try this baby out.
Thanks for the link. I am going to dive into this this weekend. Looks pretty good. There is a lot of info to read on it. Let me know if you try it and how it is.

I was thinking of Madden for my PC this year. If this is good though, I may wait a while. The PC price usually drops to $20-$25 pretty quickly.

I gave it a shot last night. The roster is interesting, as the players do seem to react more aggressively. Seemes to be a lot more 3 and outs, so most likely you need to set the quarter length to around 9-10 minutes (I had mine at 5 initially). For some reason last night I had a ton of interceptions, but that was with both of the rosters and settings I have so no idea what was going on there, just coincidence I suppose.

The camera view is OK, a bit too low for my liking so I adjusted it slightly. The drama mode I didn't like at all, the music is very cool, but it plays the entire time, and was not quite the effect I was thinking it was. I'll just add the tunes to my soundtrack. Haven't tried the boradcast mode yet, but will give it a shot as a lot of times I use coach only mode so that might be a cool way to play that way.

Overall its not bad, the roster is good and will be updated, and the agression he added in really makes the defense tough, you need to be good at finding your open receivers quickly (I am not!) I think more time with it is necessary to get a better idea of what it's doing and how the stats will look after a game. I'll be interested to hear your take on it.

Oh, and this was strange last night. I started an exhibition game between the Steelers and the Cowboys, and during the intro Chris Berman mentioned that TO was playing, and that he had a new address. I never heard that beefore, it freaked me out! Or maybe the folks at 2K knew he wouldn't stay in one place for too long?

When 2K5 came out, TO's "New Address" was Philly. They're not THAT good

I just put this game in today after reading this thread.

One word to describe this game : WOW

I played madden 360 last year and I can't believe how behind these new football games are compared to this game.

Simply amazing.

I played a couple more games over the weekend with the enhancement pack, and had 2 very different games.

This is in my franchise, I control 2 teams, the Eagles and the Seahawks.

Preseason game, Eagles versus the Chiefs. SEVEN interceptions, six by the Chiefs. McNab threw for almost 400 yards. Total rushing yards for both teams combine was less than 100 yards. Needless to say, I was not impressed. After this game I shortened the quater length to 6 minutes, and moved the interception slider up a little. Eagles 21 Chiefs 7.

Next preseason game, Seahawks versus Giants. Only one interception, rushing by both teams was much better, all passing and rushing stats looked good by games end. Giants 24 Seahawks 10.

Need to play more games obviously to see how they play out. I'm hoping that my Eagles game was just a fluke. I did find it darn near impossible to run in the Eagles game, yet Shuan Alexander and Tiki Barber both ran well in the Seahawks game.
