Oh yeah, it's done. These guys are just behind the timesSully wrote:This isn't over yet?

I was happy to see that all the games that mattered at the end did get played. That is, Slumer's win over Cloud did secure his Championship, and two Divisions actually played all their games, which is indeed impressive.
We now move ahead to Season 9, slated to start next Monday, April 2. There is a 'Congrats to Slumber' thread up now, which will be used for new and returning memberst to sign up for Season 9, and to indicate if they want to keep their team, or if not what Tier of teams they want to draw from.
(Met, make sure to post in that thread.)

Season Nine Set To Begin
OK gang, the first-half schedule for all Divisions except Division IV has been posted at the SGN League site. We are ready to begin play! I'll get the Division IV schedule posted as soon as I can, but we have to add the teams.
The deadline for the first-half of Season Nine is Sunday, April 15. Please do your best to get your games played by then. Extensions will be liberally granted, but must be requested.
Make sure to use the appropriate game settings for season games. The 'season' setting for the Ninth Season will be SUMMER. Weather, as always, will be random.
This season, the ball we use for League and Cup games will be the FOURTH of the adidas +F50 X-ite balls (6/16); this is the off-white one with the navy blue stripes.
Make sure that pause time, labeled 'time limit,' must be long, and number of pauses must be the maximum (9). Games should be played at the appropriate stadium.
Game Settings
Match Time: 15
Stadium: Home Team's Stadium
Time: (home team choice)
Season: Summer (will rotate in future seasons)
Weather: Random
Injuries: Yes
Condition: Random
Ball Type: the FOURTH adidas +F50 X-ite (6/16) (will rotate in future seasons)
Match Type EX: No
PK: No
Max. Number of Subs: 3
Time Limit: Long
Number of Pauses: 9
New members Met34 and Cooops need to head over to the SGN League site and create an account so that you can post game results (preferably of the same name as either your Gamertag, or your username here):
http://www.sportsgamingnation.com/sgnleagues/index.php
Speaking of which, what are your guys' gamertags? Same as your username here? In the list of league participants above and in the first post of the thread, the gamertags are used in most cases, but if the GT is too different from the user's name here, I list the GT in parenthases.
Season Nine DSP WE League Cup
We will be doing a league wide Cup this season alongside the League games. The top twelve finishers in the standings from Season Eight will enter the competition in Round Two, which will be a Round of Sixteen. The matchups for each round of the Cup will be determined by a random draw. Jason should be able to set something up at the SGN League site for us to report Cup game results soon.
Game settings for Cup games are identical to League game settings, except that 'Match Type: EX.' must be set to 'Yes,' and 'PK' must also be set to 'Yes.' Cup games are single elimination games, so we must determine a winner.
The play-in game for the Cup has been determined randomly among the 4 new league members, and is as follows:
FIFA Inspected = Everton FC
v.
Cooops = AS Saint-Etienne
The home side is listed first, as usual, so FIFA is the home team.
Once this play-in game is done, I will do the draw for the First Round games, of which there will be four (eight teams). Besides the winner of the play-in game, the other seven teams in the First Round will be:

** Play-in Match **
Howard shines as Everton hold off AS Saint-Etienne, 2-1.
It was a wild night at the Orange Arena as Everton held off a viscious Saint-Etienne attack in the 2nd half.
Everton struck early as James Beattie found the net twice in the first 36 minutes. The first goal was a blistering shot from the left corner of the box. The second goal was a perfectly played pass that sprung the Everton striker alone into the area where a well place shot put Everton up 2-0.
AS Saint-Etienne answered before the break, forcing a very interesting 2nd half. Tim Howard was in great form and that may have very well saved the match for Everton as Saint-Etienne pressed the attack forward every chance they had. A combination of brilliant saves and poor shooting by AS Saint-Etienne was enough to push Everton to victory.
Everton / AS Saint-Etienne
Shots 8(4) / 15(7)
Pen 0/0
Free Kicks 3/3
Corners 1/4
Fouls / Off 3(1) / 3/0
Yellow - 0/0
Red 0/0
Poss 45/55
Goals
Beattie x2 - everton
Llan - Saint
Great match Cooops!

Hey guys,
I'm on vacation for 10 days starting on Good Friday so I may not be able to play a lot of matches - with that in mind if any Div III'ers want to play tonight lemme know via XBL msg - I'll be online around 11EST (after Lost) but if anyone wants to play earlier I don't mind missing it.
Cheers,
Macca

It will show you the goal scorers in the highlights at the end of the match, which unlike the halftime ones, you can watch over and over as long as you want even if your opponent quits to the stat screen, or leaves entirely. If there are a lot of goals in the game, it might not show the first few, however.
Injuries and bookings, you just have to jot down during the game, which is a good idea for goals as well just in case. Stupid Konami.
Starting with the First Round of the Cup, there will be a place at the SGN League site to input results. For the Cup games, we aren't keeping track of goal scorers, just the game score. We don't have team rosters for the Cup games at SGN, so we aren't tabulating individual stats for the Cup. Obviously we must track injuries and bookings, however, so make sure to note those in the reports you write here in the thread.
Injuries sustained in Cup games will carry over into League games, and vice versa (that is, if a player misses a game due to injury, he's out the next game you play no matter whether that's a League or Cup game). Bookings and suspensions in Cup games will only apply to Cup games (that is, if a player gets a red card in a Cup game, he is suspended for the next Cup game, but can play the next League game).
So, make sure to note the bookings and injuries here in your recap, but as of now the SGN module is not keeping track of individuals for Cup games.
Here is the First Round of the Season Nine Cup:
Danimal66 = Liverpool FC v. HOGZ TheTruth = AC Milan
TCrouch = FC Internaziolnale Milan v. lsdean = Arsenal FC
FIFA Inspected = Everton FC v. Macsomjrr = Newcastle Utd FC
Met34 = Levante UD v. DrMacca = West Ham Utd. FC
As always, the home team is listed first. Remember, these are single elimination games, so play them with full Extra Time and PKs set on. THe winners of these games will move on to the Second Round, which will include the reamaining 12 league teams, and the matchups will again be determined by a random draw. Jason should have something soon where we can report the results of Cup games at the SGN site, but make sure to post at least a bare-bones, box score type report here so we can keep track of bookings and injuries for the Cup.
