I just want to say that even though I am losing every game and my frustration at being a bad player is sometimes coming across the mic, that I have enjoyed every game this season. I hadn't talked to a few of you guys before thie experience like Dave or Hogz for example, and you guys are just top notch people. I look forward to losing to you guys again next season

In one of the most exciting online games I have ever played, Chelsea survive to draw SL Benfica 0-0 and thus clinch Division 3.
Joe Cole missed an empty net in the opening stages of the contest and Drogba fired a shot on target that required a heroic save later in the match, but that was nothing compared to the misfortunate events for Benfica that transpired in the last quarter of the match. Chelsea was appropriately called for a penalty, but Benfica's CF Kikin sent the attempt soaring over the goal. Near the end of the match a Benefica player struck the post so soundly that the rebound luckily came right back to the Chelsea keeper who quickly pounced on the loose ball.
The halftime stats where fairly even with both sides registering 4 shots each, but Benfica's relentless attack and Chelsea's willingness to settle for a draw tilted the final numbers in the favor of the home squad. Benefica outshot 12-7 and took 2 more corners than Chelsea. Benfica dominated possession in the second half and ended the game controlling the ball 55% of the time.
The game was well fought with neither team receiving any cards. In fact, Chelsea finished the entire season without drawing any cards.
Great game, Mike.

Barca 4, Bayern 1
Much MUCH closer than the final scoreline woud indicate. Were it not for a dubious sending-off, Bayern may easily have walked away with the meaningless last match.
Sebastian Diesler wasted no time in opening the scoring with what certainly has to be one of the goals of the season - a curving blast from about 30 meters that found the upper corner past the outstretched Valdes. A real thing of beauty, and a shame that there are no replay saves in the 360 version.
Bayern dominated play until a critical error just before the half - Karini is sent off on a very harsh decision. The hole in the back line is just too much for the remaining defenders to plug against the Barca forwards, and the floodgates open from there on out.
Great game bubba - completely different side than took the pitch in our first meeting. Barca finishes ONE STINKING POINT behind the vile, dastardly Sporting Lisbon. Catalonian fans everywhere can't help but think what might have been were it not for blowing that 2-0 lead late to Lisbon in their first meeting. All that aside, congrats Naples - it was well-deserved. At least I won't have to face you again next season

PES 2008 makes baby Jesus cry.
Real Madrid 2 Valencia 1
Great game Truth......
I will update the stats later when I get home, but I had goals by
Beckham and Van Nistelrooy and Valencia had a goal by Villa.
All goals were in the 1st half.
I will update the SGN site later and add the stats here.
p.s. Me and Fanatic couldn't connect. We tried several times. I dont know why I have this problem every now and then? It only happens with WE and seems random. We can try again tonite if u want, Fanatic.
DAnimal, I never heard from you...we can try tonite too if u like.

That was me Jack. Good game. I think I need to learn how to shoot better. I can get good shots on goal but they are always blocked by the keeper. I guess I am aiming wrong or doing something wrong. Any tips guys?JackB1 wrote:Great game Mike......

ALWAYS shoot far post. Also, if you can, as soon as the ball is off your shooter's foot try to curl it back towards the middle of the net.TheTruth wrote:That was me Jack. Good game. That was a beauty of a game Leebo. I didn't realize it was to clinch the title for you- I probably would have taken off the blindfold had I known!Leebo33 wrote:In one of the most exciting online games I have ever played, Chelsea survive to draw SL Benfica 0-0 and thus clinch Division 3.

Jack, I updated the SGN site since you hadn't done it yet. I didn't right down the stats so just inputed what you posted here. Van Nistelrooy hasn't been created yet so couldn't apply his goal.JackB1 wrote:Great game Truth......

Yeah, crazy game!
Cloud and I were able to at least get things settled out on the virtual grass with a late night match that ended in a 3-3 draw for our respective sides. Livorno took a commanding 3-1 lead into halftime off two Bakayoko specials and an own goal. But Tottenham did not go quietly, staying on the offensive throughout the second half and drawing even with two goals from Berbatov including a shocking bicycle kick(!). Livorno did their best to play for a draw in the last ten minutes, eventually succeeding despite some close calls from a very effective Robbie Keane.
Tottenham Hotspur 3 - Livorno 3
Shots: 11(7) - 12(8)
Fouls: 5(0) - 5(5)
Possession: 44 - 56
LIV - Bakayoko 15', 45+
TOT - Keane 32', Berbatov 64', 72'
