What a surreal f***in season. If the defense can start to play average, or really, even below average the rest of the way, as opposed to historically bad, this team is gonna roll. Tonight was like playing Madden on rookie, and the Bengals are not a bad team. Had the Chiefs lost, the Bengals would jump ahead of them in the standings for HFA.

This offense may be better than the GSOT, just because Kelce is another piece the Rams didn't have.

Bears are really close to being a good team, still a year away.

However the media in this town, at least locally is dead set on blaming everything that goes wrong on Trubisky. He didn't play a great game but the Bears have scored 24 points in 5 of their first 6 games, and 31 points or more in their last 3 games of which they are 1-2.

Maybe someone of the local guys should start looking at that "super bowl" quality defense they were busting a nut over 3 weeks ago. With Mack no showing up the last 2 games they are ineffective and they still can't tackle.

You ok, the Raiders traded Cooper to the Cowboys for a 1st round pick. Getting all these 1st rounders is great until you realize Gruden is making the picks.

Yep, just gutting the team with nothing in his history showing those picks will turn out to be anything special.

Best case scenario, this is like a Herschel Walker trade where a bunch of picks turns into a great team.

More realistically, they turn into a bunch of middling performers and the team continues to struggle.

Something that Gruden said this weekend really got me double-taking to make sure I read it correctly--"Karl Joseph should be a FS, but he's playing SS for the Raiders. He shouldn't be matching up with bit 6'4" tight ends, yet Guenther's scheme requires both safeties to be interchangeable...doesn't mean he can't play, but that he doesn't fit".

The reason the great coaches are great is because they can adapt the scheme to the personnel...not square peg/round hole players.

So frustrating to watch, but I'm beyond caring at this point, it's sad. I just keep watching the train wreck, thinking it's at the lowest possible point. Then they find a way to crash through that floor and find a new low point each week.

Those of us who watched Hard Knocks this summer could see this coming. At least I could. Hue seems like a nice guy but not head coach material. From the first 10 minutes of episode 1 Haley and Jackson were at odds. Williams is obviously a fill in for the remainder of 2018.
