Names only.The OS community rosters will have lots of edits,CAPs,etc.
Pastapadre also has them in his locker for both PSN and Live.

Just named and it appears he edited the default roster that shipped with the game because the names show up in online games. If you remember the default roster had a lot of players that had graduated/been drafted still on the rosters. That was the reason that EA released the updated roster on Monday night. They are supposed to release a patch that allows the updated rosters to work online, but I haven't seen it yet.

So I'm wondering what happens to these rosters once the patch is issued. Will they still work online or are we going to have to have named updated rosters in order for that to happen?

Does anyone know if the OS Community rosters are working off the original roster or are they editing the updated roster? I sure hope it's the latter.

Bad,
There's something fishy going on with the rosters. I downloaded the update when it was first released and edited just 2 players on the Buffs; Cody Hawkins and Darrell Scott.

In the shipped roster Scott's number is 20, but in the corrected roster he is 2.

When I play online with the shipped roster Scott's number shows as 20, but he also has his name show up online.

I don't get it. I never edited the shipped roster, yet his name shows up online.

I don't know what's up then. When I load Lan's rosters up offline and check them out Darrell Scott is number 2 and Rodney Stewart is number 5.

When I take that roster online the names are still there, but Scott is number 20 and Stewart is number 34 (the numbers that they are on the default rosters that shipped with the game).

I double checked Lanteri's rosters versus the shipped rosters and the new EA rosters. He definitely used the newer rosters when naming all the players. All you have to do is go in and check the ratings of the teams and players versus the new EA rosters. They are identical ratings.

I don't see how that's possible unless EA ran a stealth patch on us because the main purpose of the patch was to update the game so the updated rosters worked online. Maybe the guy looked the new rosters and made the same edits to the old ones? Hell, I don't know I just know I have names online.

Loaded offline Scott is number 2
Online he is number 20, but the names are there.

Can't explain it, but it's fact. So we'll be good when the new update hits.

Well I played a couple of online games last night, after downloading Lan's rosters and having names for offline games, and there were no names for me in the online games. There was at least one exchange in the thread at OS where a guy was complaining of attribute edits, in that Lan's rosters had some different attribute values for some players, but he seemed to admit in the end that he had mistakenly compared Lan's rosters to the originals, not the EA download. So I tend to think these are edited from the EA download. What I do know is that I don't get names online even after loading Lan's rosters.

But aren't there some pretty big-time players still in the game that are now in the NFL? Like big-time starters on top-10 teams? Wouldn't those be the obvious names to look for, assuming that is the case for the original rosters on the disc? It's all pretty confusing, thanks to EA's big screw up.

Not sure why it's working for some and not others.

Are you guys going into any other game mode after loading the rosters? Try loading the rosters and then going strait to online lobby or whatever.

My rosters load automatically upon booting up the game and when I go to play online I have the names.

They did a heck of a job on 2010 imho. There are so many improvements, I'm not sure where to start.

Running and passing are so much better.. animations have been improved.. the game overall just feels more like football and I loved 09. Doubt I could go back to it now.. the game just feels organic and I love the running game more than anything so far.

Okay, this is a little confusing. Who has the best named rosters right now? Are there any named rosters that are based off of the roster file EA released after launch? Whose gamertag should I dl the rosters from?

By all accounts, Lanteri87 has named the roster download that EA put into a special locker right after launch. He has only done the names, no height/weight edits, and no attribute edits.

As for me not having names online, it is very possible I had not loaded Lan's rosters, because I went from a dynasty game to the online, and they won't auto-load when you quit out of dynasty. I'll try to get another game in tonight and see.

The "fixed" EA roster is now the default roster thanks to this mornings' patch.
The roster available in Lanteris' and Pastapadres' locker is based off of the "fixed" and should show up in all of your online games.

I saw the 360 patch is out. Any impressions now with the patch? Im tempted to get this game. Last year was the first year in forever I didn't buy NCAA...I went with Madden instead, but think I may go back to college football this year.

I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this game. It's easily the best NCAA game I have ever played in terms of AI and features. I don't get into the whole slider settings thing and the roster edits beyond names. EA made a very fun and playable game straight out of the box.The team builder feature and web site are cool additions to the game. People are making some very nice teams for download.
