They have no soul.

Just ship it and sell it to the suckers. We will buy anything and they count on us to.

Anyone still playing this? I had the itch after watching the Shootout last weekend and was reminded of how much I enjoy the driving model.

But I might be stuck in limbo--the highest difficulty requires me to push too hard (spin out all the time) and I can win too easily on the middle difficulty.

Haven't played recently but I might jsut have to throw this in again before I pick up Race 360 next week. Its a great game and you're right the racing gameplay is top notch.

I still have it Dave. You just make sure you load up the Veteran setups if you move to the Legend driving model (I forget what the official term is). They're not horribly tough to drive with a wheel if you're using one.

I was thinking about breaking it back out recently myself.

I really enjoy racing in this one, so count me in for a back of the pack finish! :)

Did they ever patch the game so that the AI could actually run a road race?

I haven't played it in quite some time, but I held onto my copy.

Been thinking of breaking it out recently with NASCAR season starting and Race Pro putting racing on my mind.

As to being stuck in difficulties, if I recall you can set player difficulty and AI ability separately, so that should alleviate most problems.
