...Not here they arent. We get a blizzard and we are crippled.
Hell. We had one 2-3 inch snowfall this season that made my usual 45- 60 minute drive 4.5 hours. The response was so brutal that for a minute I thought I lived in Fla.

Thats how it should be and how it used to be here. I dont know when everyone here became such a p***y. Can you imagine 4 1/2 hours to go 28 miles?.....Happy snow days

I would love to see something like that in person, but we'd have to move many miles north if the last few years of very-low snowfall in DE continue into the future.
It's not impossible. I grew up in the Philly suburbs (a few miles west of the city to be precise) and in 1996 we had a storm that dumped 3 feet of snow in one day. I remember it all came down on a Sunday, leading to schools and roads being closed for 3 days, then on Thursday night we got another storm dropping 6-10 more inches of snow leading to school being closed again on Friday. Man that was an awesome week.
Three hours of skiing today with my 8-year-old son. 44 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, perfect spring snow, and the lad is getting almost as fast as me, and I'm not slow.
That's called winter bliss, boys!
Take care,
PK

I was living in DC about four blocks from the Maryland border. I think we got 21" or so. It took 5 days for DC to plow our street, but Maryland had the sidewalks cleared the next morning. It took us nearly half an hour to walk to the MD side to get groceries and to catch the bus for work. Good times!

It's global warming, so you have to look at temperature trends everywhere, and temperature trends during all seasons (not just the winter) to be able to fairly evaluate the claims.
It's not 'global' and it's not 'warming' anymore-they figured out that dog don't hunt, so now it's the clever mantra 'climate change', which can encompass all the nutball theories, not just the hot ones...
