I wish this game had tighter level design. Battlefield games never have very interesting or strategic level layouts, but it didn't matter because the game is a big sandbox to do crazy stuff.

SW doesn't have nearly as many toys and variables. That's kind of a relief to me, but the levels should be more thoughtfully laid out to give the game more legs.

For me, no shooter has ever come close to MW1 and MW2 in level design.

I tell you I have no idea why but with my new monitor this game is at a different level on the PC. The environmental effects just blew me away.

They're mighty impressive on the Xbox One, too, at least by console standards. I don't own the new Tomb Raider, which seems to have set a new standard for XB1 graphics. But SW:BF is a game that shows the graphical ability of the XB1 very well.

It'll have that effect on a lot of games, like you're seeing them for the first time. 144Hz and G-SYNC is incredible.

Tomb Raider absolutely kills it. To be honest, I played the SWBF beta on PC and when I saw the XB1 version, I thought it was trash, it looked so horrible compared to the PC version. That's not exactly news-flash worthy, but I thought it was one of the worst-looking XB1 games I played. Mainly due to resolution and the horrible aliasing everywhere, the lighting and effects are awesome...but that resolution, yuck.

If they're 7 and 8, they probably have ten times faster reflexes than any of us, so now I know I'll run if I see the name pigpen81 in a match.

It would be cool if they added Force Awakens content in DLC (characters, weapons, maps). Any word on that, or saving it for next year at $60 :x ?

Well Jakku is from the movie. Supposedly 4 maps with each expansion. I think 4 new heroes (1 per pack?). I think the best bet would be a map or hero.

Yeah, I thought the Jakku battle in the game is supposed represent the battle of Jakku that happens years before the events of Force Awakens. Rey is scavenging through the wreckage of that battle.

Would be cool to see the new storm troopers helmets and some other movie locations, etc...IMO.

Other than Jakku itself, they said recently that there will be no Episode 7 DLC.

There won't be Episode 7 DLC

Expansion:

Outer Rim (March 2016) - "Fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine."
Bespin (Summer 2016) - "It's hunt or be hunted in this action-packed experience set in the Cloud City of Bespin."
Death Star (Fall 2016) - "That's no moon! One of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars universe makes its debut in Star Wars Battlefront."
Expansion Pack 4 (Early 2017) - "Title and details to be announced."

not sure it is worth $50.

Not in a while.

Have they said anything about a campaign mode or a single player game on the works?

They just added a new mission called 'Survivor' and new map. That's as 'Solo' as it gets. I doubt they'll make it a strictly campaign mode in the future, check out the March update.

Hell, yes! Still a daily driver for me. Love this game. I had no plans to buy this game, and I still wasn't convinced after the demo/beta. But I caved and bought it and remain very grateful I did.

SW:BF is pure fun. That's exactly what I seek in gaming. LOVE IT.
