Guess you haven't seen their respective slash lines this season so far...I absolutely would hit Laird (.320 AVG & .720 OPS) over Upton (.151AVG & .520 OPS). Seems realistic to me!

Interesting. My HDMI cable bit the dust, so I start up a game with component cables. And to my surprise I get a s*** load of OSD all kinds of stats popping up now. It's weird to see team leaders stats for the stolen bases act.. Hell I took a chance to check out show live after initially being disappointed, and it's a different experience now that the league is populated with stats from 1 month of games.

If you get a chance check the game out with component cables and tell me whatcha think.

The problem with baseball video games is that I just can't seem to keep up with the season and usually end up dropping it after 20 or 30 games. I'm at that point right now. Thinking I'm just going to play the new MLB Live feature.

Yep. Same with me. I''ll sim games to get me caught up with the real schedule. I'm a few weeks behind ;)

I usually play a half season but play all of the games. I get behind and end up finishing sometime in November.

This year I think I am going to play the short seasons (29 games) with different teams. I started one with the Reds and you play every team once. Only thing is they set it up where you have maybe two off days so fatigue is a big factor.

I also want to explore the other modes as I usually only play a season. Trying to figure out what position would be best to play in RTTS. Starting pitching would be fun but no hitting, obviously. Has anyone ever caught? Do you call the pitches? That might be cool.

I just grabbed this for Vita. Taking a cross-country flight and the sale price on this won me over over Fifa, also have last year's Fifa demo, so there's that...

What settings are those of you playing on Vita using...

Pulse/Classic pitching? Meter throwing or not? Anything else I should be setting? I lost my first game 3-2, so I was ok with the starting settings chosen for 'experienced' but wondering what you MLB regulars use.

Congrats on the purchase. Playing mainly RTTS on the Vita and the season games on the PS3. I use veteran for hitting and use classic pitching on the next level.

I have played The Show very little this year because of that. I think I may just do something fun like a short season fantasy draft, especially since the Cubs are so bad. Either that or sim to the All-Star game and play it out.

I'm definitely late to the party but this is by far my favorite version. I played very little of last years game due to boredom with the series. I love the added camera angles, batters stepping out of the box and taking practice swings.

I primarily play RTTS mode and I actually got used to not hearing the play by play commentary. I even like the teammate chatter. Sometimes it's repeated too much, other times it has little to do with what's happening on the field and at other times it's LOL spot on.

I was pitching and threw 2 pitches in a row that were in the zone but kind of on the edge but definitely strikes. One of my teammate yells "open your eyes ump, what game are you looking at?"

I like requesting the location from the catcher and he puts out the signal again. Maybe I overlooked in years past but don't recall seeing it.

I am loving the game again this year. The difficulty in defense really makes you concentrate on all aspects of the game.

The only problem I am having is holding runners on first by throwing over. It seems like every game I have a pitcher throw one into the stands. It has gotten to a point where I just don't throw over anymore.

Anyone else have this happening?

It hasn't happened to me but I have seen it on MLB 12 for the Vita many times. I figured out why it happens. It you try an aggressive pickoff move there's a chance it will result in an errant throw especially to first. If you double tap L2 or hold down L2 that's an aggressive pickoff move. If you tap L2 once then that's not an aggressive move an it's more of I didn't forget about you kind of move.

There could be a pitcher stat in training that you could boost which might help but not sure about that.

Been playing the majority of my games lately against my son. The head to head games are actually a lot of fun.

I still prefer 12 over 13 based only on the overall smoothness of the gameplay. I play 13 for the random Show Live game but have my franchise on 12 with updated rosters.

Amongst other things,,generated counts enabling quick games, the ability to save and continue seasons to the following years game...(at least that's what I took from it). System seller for me. :)

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of features The Show has that alleviates the player from having to actually play the game. But man, it sure looks good!

I could see using generated pitch counts and classic pitching to do a hitting- and fielding-only franchise. Would speed things up and make the pitching more realistic.

Also, a good article about the awesome potential (and a few potential pitfalls) of The Show's ability to import franchises and RTTS files into future versions of the game.

http://kotaku.com/the-ps4s-baseball-gam ... /@marchman

That is a HUGE benefit for franchise/RTTS gamers and something I really hope NBA 2k can implement.

My favorite mode is RTTS, that's 85% of the game for me so if they can add to it that would be awesome.
