Good thing we dont actually own it.

Give em a year to get some new guys , some experience and I think it could all be okay. Consider 17? rookies on the roster and only 1 out of 5 slated starters still standing on the offensive line, they are kicking ass. 8)

The real refs are no great shakes, but the scabs are just appalling. Awful, awful calls during Ravens and Pats. No consistency, and the replacements seem to do worse when the games are bigger and there's more pressure.

I think the replacements and the NFL are tweaking which infractions they look for and how willing they are to throw the flag as criticism mounts.

So this week they may be flagging PI or defensive holding more in reaction to criticism that they were letting defenders get away with too much.

Next week it may be the opposite or something else.

No reason to back the refs in the dispute but who wants to back the owners?

That would imply that the replacement refs know what they are doing. They clearly do not.

Bad calls happen all the time, but there have been a number of games already this year where the refs do not seem to have any grasp of how to officiate the game. Last night was a perfect example. Torrey Smith drew a defensive holding call when he wasn't even touched, then Ray Rice practically tackled Gronkowski on a passing play and there was no flag. And then, after seemingly being unsure of every call, they make no review of one of the closest field goals I recall seeing, as if they wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as possible.

I'm frankly disgusted by my team (Eagles) at this point.

I don't know how much longer I can willingly subject myself to watching that 'style' of football.

That play is not reviewable by rules. You can only review it if it is under or inside the posts. if it is over the post it is not reviewable.

True.. I'm just tired of Bradford getting like 1 second to throw the ball.

They are HORRIBLE.

It was funny in the Rams yesterday, the ref St. Louie will take over at the 40 yard line. Meet me in St. Louie, Louie.. meet me at the fair........

hopefully Jets fans had self-awareness to know the season was over, before the Revis injury.

Yeah, I also find it hilarious that Santonio is running his mouth about they wanted it more and my numbers prove I'm awesome, yada yada. Two missed field goals from a crappy kicker are the only reason they won, not because they wanted it more. What an idiot. Need to keep microphones out from in front of some of these guys.

Yeah, I learned that today, but considering they enjoy stopping the game to explain what they thinking about having for dinner, I think they could have taken a second to make that announcement. Instead they bolted like the Blues Brothers trying to leave right after the Good Ol' Boys showed up. :D

yup, DB.

in reality i lost count on number of passes he dropped in yesterday's game alone. Last year I actually had his back. However, at this point he's jumped shark

That you need to get used to. They will be pushing for the sacks allowed record. Sam will be lucky to make it through the season alive let alone uninjured.

To put it into perspective. ESPN radio/ the Jets radio network complains/ whines daily that Sanchez is under pressure and that is why he sux. He has been sacked 3 times and hit 9 times while Bradford has been sacked 12 times and hit 21 times.

A comedy of horrendous bad calls in SEA. One is called almost right for each team to compensate for the previous mistake. Too bad, because the Hawks are holding Rodgers and CO pretty tight the entire night. Let' s see if rookie Wilson can do some magic, the kid can obviously run.

And taking a page out of the Ten-Det game yesterday, Seahawks win in a Hail Mary 4th and 10, last seconds of the game. Wow. In Wilson we trust. 8)

That was a travesty.

Two offensive PIs not called, then messing up that call. Probably intimidated by the crowd and the occasion.

This won't change the league's stance. The ratings and attendance won't be affected.

If anything the controversy will raise interest in the league.

I am no fan of either team, but GB got hosed tonight. The replacement refs suck and it is having an impact on EVERY game. Even Vegas is factoring in replacement ref screw-ups in determining odds.....this needs to be fixed ASAP.

I'm a Bears fan and I am upset. GB got jobbed in an epic manner. I'm really at a loss for words. Something needs to be done. Either the players need to refuse to take the field for the first 10 minutes of the early games on Sunday or better yet the fans need to stay out of the stadium for the 1st 5 minutes of the 1st quarter. While I know either one of those is nearly impossible it would be the only thing to rattle the NFL.

BTW doesn't the commish work for the owners? I would be letting him know he is on thin ice with this black eye the league is getting.
