The guy is a complete clown.
I can't believe he's got a free pass after that BBC documentary about dodgy agents and transfers - a fair proportion of which was to do with deals brokered by his son while the fat dick was in charge of Bolton. He made lots of noises about suing the BBC til they basically said - 'go on then'.
He's a crook, an idiot and a loudmouth who will never win anything...I doubt he'll last the season at Newcastle, although they do seem to like their shite managers up there.

Allardyce may be a buffoon, but he looks like the bastard love child of Bill Shankly and Sir Alex Ferguson compared to Graeme Souness.
Another Premiership managing reject got the sack last weekend, QPR's John Gregory. I guess the slick suits and overdose of hair gel couldn't keep his job down there, either.
Take care,
PK

Looks like the super-successful Martin Jol will be picking up his cards tomorrow, they are getting spanked 4-1 at home.
God knows what he thinks he's done, other than spending about £80m on crap like Zokora, Huddlestone, Dawson, and a whole load of midfielders you've never heard of...oh, and Jermaine Jenas.

Well, that's what i get for posting before the end of games.
Obviously the fat lady was about to sing, saw the even fatter keeper and decided to wait for a bit to see if he would make any more comedy errors.
Still, if scraping a draw at home against an average Aston Villa side (who haven't exactly made great progress themselves since the start of the Martin O'Neill era) and conceding 4 goals represents a great performance, then who knows what Martin Jol could achieve at Spurs....maybe something better than 1 win in 8 and languishing in the relegation places.

Hmm, sounds like an ideal time for Henk ten Caat to move to Chelsea and allow Martin Jol to bow out gracefully to his first love.
It may also be that Abramovich will appreciate the fact that ten Caat booted Mourinho up the arse during that ill-tempered Chelsea visit to Barcelona a few years back.

Bradley names his squad for the Switzerland friendly:

Lots of youngbloods. I can't imagine that Adu will be match fit, but it's nice to see some of the under-20 guys getting a look.

Given the fickleness of their hordes of johnny-come-lately fans, that won't be a problem for much longer...25k for their last home CL game, ffs.pk500 wrote:I think he wants to retire to front a Rockwell tribute band.fsquid wrote:Not enough Juice for the hair in London?10spro wrote:As if things weren't hectic enough in Chelsea, it's now D. He's more than welcome at the new powerhouse of the North

Here's what amazes me and I've said this before...
Arsenal lose Henry and look like they will top the league. In fact it looks like Arsenal relied on Henry for everything. Now without him there, their other talent has been exposed.
On the flip side, Chelsea has all sorts of problems. It looks as if Murinho and all of his craziness turned Chelsea around. I wonder how far they will fall. They do have Russian money but who will want to play for them. First they need a good manager and Ten Brink (is that his name) is not going to be the guy the turns the "broken" image of Chelsea around.
Can they even finish in the top four this year?
If City, Portsmouth, Newcastle who ever could get hot this year, they might be able to get a CL spot and a top 4 finish.

Problem with Chelsea is that they haven't been built as a team, they have been built as a collection of who is available, regardless of need (why get Ballack when you already have Lampard ? Why get Shevchenko when you already have Drogba ?). Plus, any analysis of Mourinho's own purchases would conclude that there have been more misses than hits.
As for City - anything higher than 10th would be a good season...they still lack a natural finisher - maybe Bojinov can do the job when back from injury, and I don't think they'll get much higher with a midfield of Johnson and Hamann. Rumours abound of Michael Owen (good if not injured again) and Vieira (5 years ago, yes...not now).
Still, 3rd place with victories over MU, Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham will do me for starters.

Careful, lest I dig out that picture of the scoreboard from the return leg...
