We had 5 in one race...Web, Zeppo, BK, Scoop, myself...that was when Theo couldn't get in at all. Then when Theo was creating the races only Scoop couldn't get in. So it definitely looks like something is strange between the two of them...well and BK since his car liked to follow me around and mimmick my every move (I was seriously controlling it, it was the weirdest s*** ever) even though he was clearly ahead of me in the race. There is no way that stuff was a lag issue...there is some crappy programming going on there. Hopefully that stuff gets ironed out because it is damn near impossible to drive with a tail...it sucks cuz my Aston could break faster than his Audi so everytime I hit the breaks hard going into a turn, the Audi would punt me off the road. Weird crap.

Does anyone know how the friends filter work )or don't) on the map.

I tired setting mine to Friends only and Club assuming only those people would show up in free ride mode, but it doesn't matter what I set it to I see and hear everyone.

Also what do the colors mean (red, yellow and white) on the other players gamertags?

Thanks

The Friends filter only works on the GPS map...so when you're looking over the island from above you can see where your friends are located (at least in the general area). When you're driving, you still can see everyone. I'm not sure what the colors mean. I was wondering that myself.

Good racing last night guys. I was thinking that one of us could buy another club, but you can only be a member of one club at a time. Out of curiousity, which game do you think has a better driving model, PGR3, or TDU?

I think PGR3 has a slightly better driving model but the game isn't even close to as good overall. Both have ridiculously good cockpit views.

I wonder if there are other "clubs" that will allow you to have more than 16 people.

Yes, I wonder if the higher-priced ones allow more. I imagine they might, just as the more expensive residences let you keep more cars, but I don't see a way to tell how many members there are, or how near the limit the club might be, so you just have to fill it up and find out, I guess.

Well, I think I may have joined up last night, but I've been playing a rental. I'm most likely not going to purchase the game, so I'll go ahead and quit the club this evening if anyone wants to join.

At least as a non-member, when I go into the club and hit "Join" I can hit the X Button to view Club Details. It tells me you guys have 16/16 members, etc.

I could drop a million on one of the upgraded clubs and see...but if it doesn't work, that'd suck

Once you get to the expert level, you get 50k or more per race...it doesn't take too long to get a bunch of money accumulated...especially if you have some of the car transport missions which get you 120k if you do it perfectly.

Not to mention that there's a timed race "Millionaire's Challenge". 118.0 miles, 60 minutes or under: $1,000,000 purse.

If I start the big club, are we going to merge somehow or something?

I think we should try to find out if you can have more than 16 people first...I was kidding about you wasting your mil on a new club. The servers were screwy last night with the current club and there are only 16 in it. I'm going to look around and see if I can find any other info.

I just checked all the Clubs that I know of (750K was the max) and they were all 16.

That is some lame sh*t. We may have to just start two and split everyone up. You can challenge people from other clubs, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but it may not work out how we think it will.

I finally picked this game up today after reading all of the glowing reviews in this thread and I like what I've seen in it so far in the small amount of time I put in it.

I did a transport mission and was driving around a corner and a cop car came in front of me and I slowed down and when I went to drive around him I just scraped against his car but he didn't do anything as I was expecting him to come after me. Later on that same mission I had less than three miles to go and I'm just driving along and look down at the GPS and it shows I had 12 miles to go, somehow I missed a turn and ended up on a one way road. :(

I found this map someone made of all the car dealerships, it's a little easier to view than what is in the manual: http://negg.net/TDU/

Awesome site. The fact that it has all of the cars and their performance ratings is great.

That is awesome. Thanks.

Question...

Can you only test drive the 'concept' cars or do they actually become available to use/buy later on?

When you are looking at the concept cars, it will tell you what you need to do to unlock it at the bottom of the screen...such as "complete all transport missions" or whatever.

Okay, so i finally downloaded the demo and played, and i liked what i saw. I am on pretty close to wanting to grab this to compiment NHL. A couple of questions:

1) I'm not a racer by nature, will that be a major problem. What i mean is i tend to suck and with all the nuances of the game that i see you guys discussing, will it be too much for someone like me to understand/take in?

2) Staying power. Is this the TOCA of the 360 in that you all feel it will be in your library for a while and lend itself to extensive get togethers? (even if you all hate me for driving like a blind monkey)

3) How much more will i get out of the real game than the demo gave me? In other words is what i see what i get with the demo (i don't mean that as a negative, just wondering)

Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated from any/all. Thanks.
