Team selection is a random draw. Players in the DSPremiership (First Division), if they are changing teams, can only throw their hat into the Second Tier of teams for the draw; teams not in the First Division can choose to be drawn from either the Top Tier of the 15 best teams in the game, or the Second Tier. The rule of thumb for new members is that if you play offline at 3* or lower, you should select from the Top Tier; if you play offline at 4* or higher, you should select from the Second Tier (although if you are not in the First Division when you are changing teams, you are free to select a Top Tier, it's important to maintain a sense of fair play).Blublub wrote:I'm rarin' to go. How does the side selection work? I'm ready to pick at any time...Zeppo wrote:With Blub entering the league, depending on who would change teams if anyone, we can roll smoothly into Season Seven as soon as the weekend.
Who's in?
The random draw consists of three rounds. In each round, you can reject the team drawn for you and go in for the next round. You cannot get back a team you have rejected in the same season's draw. This means that the third round of the draw is FINAL, and whoever you get stuck with in the third round, that's who you've got for that season. Everyone can join the draw and change teams between seasons.
All the participants of each draw (Top Tier and Second Tier draws) are drawn at the same time, so on Monday when I post the 'Congrats and screw Newcastle

Season Six is over, folks. Forfeit losses and draws have been given for the outstanding games.
Look for a new thread congratulating the Champions, Rob and Newcastle. In this thread we will also ask any interested newcomers to join the league, as well as figure out all the team changing if any.
Thanks again to all for another excellent DSP WE League season, and remember Season Seven will take us right up to the release of WE 360 in the first week of February, so even though the posted deadlines will be the same, don't pay any attnention to them! I expect most games to be played between the 9th of January (after the Nat'l Championship game) and the 6th of February (the supposed shipping date for WE360 as listed on EB's website).
I would also love to do a second interdivisional Cup, if you guys are interested.

Guys, as you know I'm anxious to get in for the next season/tourney. I'm going to be out of town and away from the 'net until Thursday so I may miss the new thread when it opens. Just in case I'll take anyone, really, but would prefer Barca (as lame as that may be) since I followed them closer than anyone the last few years. If that's too cheesy, I'd be happy with Bayern, Lyon or whoever. Just please sign me up and I'll be able to play the matches after Thursday. My gamertag is cecilbturtle. TIA!
OK Folks, we are in final preparations for Season Seven, and I'm hoping to get the first-half schedule up tonight or tomorrow.
Here is the roster of league participants:
We will also be doing a Second DSP WE League Cup. Four teams will have a bye into round two. They are:
I will do the random draw for the First Round as soon as the bracket is ready over at SGN.
Blublub, I think you already have an account at the SGN League site, so you should be set once Jason gets the standings built. Please make sure to read the very first post of this long thread, as it contains all the rules and regulations, game settings etc. for the league. If you have any questions after you've read that initial post, feel free to post here or PM me.
Finally, I need a home stadium for Cloud and Blublub; squid, if you want to change your stadium let me know. I am sticking with the Råsunda, myself. Everyone else's team's real stadium is in the game, so you guys are set.
Thanks, and we'll be able to get games started soon!

Season Seven First-Half Schedule Posted
DSP WE League Season Seven Underway With Posting Of First Half Schedule
The first-half schedule of the DSP WE League Season Seven has been posted, and the final Xbox season of the DSP WE League is underway!
The deadline for the first-half of Season Seven is Sunday, Dec 31. Please try to get your first-half games in by then, but don't be concerned if you are unable to do so. Extensions are built into this final Xbox season as we look forward to the February arrival of WE 360.
Make sure to use the appropriate game settings for season games. The game settings are listed below. The 'season' setting for the Sixth Season is WINTER.
Make sure that pause time, labeled 'time limit,' must be long, and number of pauses must be the maximum (7). Games should be played at the appropriate stadium.
We will also be running a Second DSP WE League Cup, and I will post that draw in the coming days.
Good luck, have fun, and play fair!

Typical Cloud/Bastard excitement. Both goalies had gray arrows down, but mine sure didn't play like it.
DSPLeague cup opener
Roma 4 - Real Madrid 1
Shots 25/15
SOG 12/6
Fouls 7/7
Off 2/1
Pos 48/52
Totti 4'
Cassano 7' 55'
Montella 52'
Ronaldo 90+'
So... I don't have to enter the score into the other site, right? That's only for the league, yes?

There's a Cup Bracket where you can enter the score, but I can do that in the next couple of days if you don't get to it. It can be found by going to the home page of the SGN League site. We are only tallying the score for these Cup games at SGN, not goal scorers or anything like that, and bookings and injuries should be noted here in the game report.FabulousBastard wrote:Typical Cloud/Bastard excitement.
