DD, three rounds of golf wouldn't have given you too many XP. I have the EA season pass and when I created my dude, I also didn't recall having the option to import XP from 12. I would just stick to your Pro and buy your XP fillers and pins packages with the coins that you gain while playing.
Sorry to see you go Darkbandit. Did you manually quit the club already? Because I think the last time I checked, we were still showing 25. Just curious.

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
Darkbandit, if you think you're going to get back into it, don't hang it up just because you've missed some tournaments. Only a little more than half the members play in the Dailies, but it varies as to who misses them. People are going to have stretches where they can't play, and that's totally understandable.Darkbandit wrote:I left the DSP club after some rl issues came up that way if anyone wants to have a spot that will be able to play more then I wont be just taking up space.
Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
EA Sports didn't make the "import XP" option very obvious. I knew it should have been there somewhere and was having trouble finding it when I was creating my player. In fact, it wasn't until I created my third CAG that I finally figured out where it was. You had to select "Import XP from Tiger 12" before you selected the "Create Player" option. It really didn't make sense that it was this way. I thought it should be there after you've named your player.10spro wrote:DD, three rounds of golf wouldn't have given you too many XP. Yep, spend most of your money buying the XP boost pin. It will put a 5X multiplier on any XP you earn while playing the game.

Skill attributes - more isn't necessarily better!
I've been accumulating a lot of XP over the last week and have been dipping into the 10,000 XP point purchases in Power and Putting. I started noticing a declining trend in my putting performances at 94, and it really got bad at 98. I realized that what was happening is that the sensitivity is going up as I do this, and my ability to modulate putts in the 8 to 25 foot range was being adversely affected.
I kept lowering my putting attributes until I got back to where the putting felt like it did when I was at my putting peak. That attribute level turned out to be "83". I'm now making a lot more putts and it "feels" better with my Precision Putting Recoverery Method. Before you go trimming your putting attribute points though, keep in mind that my putting method is unconventional, to say the least. I resort to the "stock" TSC method inside of 8 feet, and I do see a slight drop in my confidence and performance there. None the less, the putts I'm back to making in the 8 to 30 foot range offset that loss tremendously.
In terms of power performance. When I hit 96, I seemed to be having more trouble controlling my drives. If you're going to go into the mid to high 90's in power, you'd better plan on buying some accuracy points to help control that new power. Once I got my accuracy to 81, my 96 power tee shots are more manageable.

Damn I hate/love this game. After plowing through the weekly yesterday and feeling pretty good about my progression, the daily at Sawgrass humbles me completely.
Of course I'm working on a golfer with attributes in the low 60's and 50's so looks like it's time to go back to the "range" and build up XP.

I recommend playing Career Mode and enabling XP pins for each round to build your CAG faster. If you are out of XP pins, buy more XP pins in the online store with your in-game coins.RallyMonkey wrote: Of course I'm working on a golfer with attributes in the low 60's and 50's so looks like it's time to go back to the "range" and build up XP.

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
Thanks Divot. I definitely am playing Career mode too but as you said I'm out of pins. Problem is I want to save my coins for courses we might play in the club that I don't have. It's all good because, much like my real golf game, I'll have rounds that keep me coming back and rounds that make me want to hurl my clubs in the drink.DivotMaker wrote:I recommend playing Career Mode and enabling XP pins for each round to build your CAG faster. Rally, that was a great finish at the weekly.
DM, what I don't quite get is the purchase for rounds in courses like Wolf Creek where it prompts me to buy more coins from the store. I played enough career matches, in fact won my first tournament level last week by more than 5 strokes and I have accumulated about 25.000 coins, yet it still asks me to buy more coins.
Also is it possible to change the AI of the other players in your career mode? Don't recall seeing it on settings.

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
Yes, this can be done in the "Road To the PGA Tour" menu, under the "Game Modes/(your player name here) Career" menu. The tricky part is that once you call up this player career mode menu, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the career mode menu using the "D" pad to find the last menu option entitled "PGA Tour Settings". It is here where you set your opponents AI settings.10spro wrote: Also is it possible to change the AI of the other players in your career mode? Don't recall seeing it on settings.
PGA Tour Settings can only be changed in between events though. If you are in an event that hasn't finished, you'll be reminded that you can change the AI setting *after* the event is done. You can also change the number of rounds per event and the "Live Weather" setting in this menu. I wish they would fix the live weather so that it would work properly in Career mode. I'm getting sick of playing in rain and more than enough of a dose of heavy winds in the default setting, but from all I hear, it's not as excessive as Live Weather, which sounds to be flat broken

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I believe there are a few pre-order exclusive courses and those are not playable until approximately 45 days after release date.10spro wrote:DM, what I don't quite get is the purchase for rounds in courses like Wolf Creek where it prompts me to buy more coins from the store. Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
Thanks for the tip as it will come in handy later. I've been allocating most of my XP to power to create the occassional eagle opportunities on par 5's and consistently get manageable birdie attempts on the par 4's. I do have putting and accuracy at 60. The rest are around 35-40.J_Cauthen wrote:Skill attributes - more isn't necessarily better!
I'm really enjoying the gameplay. Now that I am building up I am scoring in the +5 to -5 range. I'm not sure how much more I will build up my golfer though as I really like that scoring range for offline play.
If this momentum keeps going and I don't burn out Tiger Woods 13 will go down as my favorite sports game ever. If I never played again it's already probably top 5.

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
While it definitely should be available for all of us to view at anytime via the internet, there is some really cool stat tracking within the game. One that I came across last night is the Club Leaders, under the Club Statistics main module. I did a crappy cut and paste job to see the full view below. Some pretty impressive stats, particularly for our current club champion, 10spro. You have to be the fastest TW player on the planet.
1087 Birdies is not too shabby either. Also, it appears the stats for Daily Avg Finish Position and Weekly Avg Finish Position are broken, as I assume it is meant to post the player with the lowest avg finishing position, not the highest.
PS - Obviously these stats are for all rounds played - career, offline, online, tournament, dailys, using CAG vs Pro, etc. It would be cool if it also had this level of cumulative stat tracking just for the DSP Daily's and Tournaments.

Thanks for producing that Don. There are a ton of interesting stats tracked for individuals and for the "team". Our club has 4 double eagles the last I saw, which is pretty phenomenal, IMO. I wish we could see all the stats and scores on the web though. I still don't know why it couldn't be done?DChaps wrote:While it definitely should be available for all of us to view at anytime via the internet, there is some really cool stat tracking within the game. BTW, I'm going to be setting up at private club room in the "Difficulty" section of the Tiger Woods 13 lobby on XBL tonight (probably after American Idol

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
Don, thanks for sharing the stats. You fail to mention that I lead in bogeys and double bogeys as well and the only reason I have managed to squeeze all those games while scoring the birdies is because I approach Tiger with the HSG mentality.

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I just can't figure this fn game out sometimes. Playing the daily at Pinehurst and I FINALLY have a great round going...in a groove at -3 after 13 holes. I go to tee off a par 3, take a nice swing straight through and the ball dribbles to the end of the tee box...WTF! Absolutely no reason for what happened. Un goddamn real. Ended up with a double and let the shot bother the hell out of me the rest of the way. Finished at +1. What bullshit.

Was fun out there tonight guys. Also noticed we completed the silver club objectives and just lack some more head to head to complete gold.

Pinehurst is always tough for me and I'll take the -6 for now. After the round practice we had Truth, you should beat that.

We'll miss the next couple of dailies as I'll be out of town.

That is truly bizarre! I've not had that happen to me so far... I can see where that would be unnerving to say the leastDiablo25 wrote:I just can't figure this fn game out sometimes. Yes, it was fun indeed... Leadfoot took me to the woodshed in two of the three matches I played with him... He played the back nine at Kiawah in 7 under par - it was like watching a shotmaking clinic! We finished the night off with a 9 hole matchplay match that went 4 holes of sudden death, he closed the match with an eagle.TheTruth wrote:Was fun out there tonight guys. I think I've found a formula that will work for club matches henceforth. I set up the room and sent out the invites. You were in there first and I was trying to respond to others who were trying to make their way there. In doing so, I accidentally backed out of the room and you became the host. Leadfoot friended you and was able to join the room. I thought it would be clearer if I became host of the room, thus the request for everyone to back out and start over.
The secret to making it work is this... if we can get everyone in the DSP CC on our friend's list, then it doesn't matter who the host of the room is. Once the room gets established, it will stay in force until all of the occupants are gone. When we finished our rounds, I had to manually navigate back to the DSP C Club room, but it was still going. I noticed that Merace and 10sPro were showing that they were playing at Greenbriar on their gamercard via my friend's list (I guess playing the weekly), but were still shown as members in the room... interesting. Nice to know this is a workable solution to club play matches though!

This actually worked out better than I thought it would. I still made some n00bish mistakes in getting it rolling, but now that I understand how these private rooms work, I think it will go a lot smoother. It should go off without a hitch as long as everyone in the DSP CC is on everyone's friends list, or we establish a password for the room and publish it here.10spro wrote:We got to do it again. I had three birdies and one bogey at Pinehurst in my 2 under round today. My round resembled a real pros round so closely it was scary. This course seems to be a pretty good equalizer. We had our most competitive Daily of the season there three weeks ago.Pinehurst is always tough for me and I'll take the -6 for now. After the round practice we had Truth, you should beat that.
