And as the second half starts, Higuain and Gago come in, let's see if things open up a bit for Argentina.

Since you mentioned it...

I dont like the person who designed Argentinas uniform. The numbers blend in with the stripes making em pretty hard to read for old people.

As for the game itself. All I can say is that Im glad Argentina is winning.
It's the shorts 34. They should be in black as previous versions which makes the jersey much more attractive.

It wasn't pretty and BH is quite a physical team, the early goal maybe harmed more than helped Argentina. Maybe it was the original 5-3-2 scheme that confused the players as they were tight respecting perhaps too much to an opponent that made just their first appearance ever in a WC. With the subs, the team was loser in the second half and showed more signs of confidence, while at the same time going back to their usual formation. The D which is supposed to be the weakness was solid and we'll have to see how Romero plays for the rest of the tourney as he didn't see much action this year.

A lot to improve still, but important 3 pointers to start with.

Not that I'm nervous or anything, but I almost threw up just from watching Max Bretos preview tomorrow's match. Going to be a long, long day before kickoff.

Actually, I have 4 (US, Croatia, Czech Rep. and Slovakia), although the night is only dark and full of terrors before the first two play.

Been some great games so far. So glad we have the world cup this year.
Now that the NBA and NHL are done, all we have is baseball (yawn).

I hope team USA can have a decent showing.

Great goal by Messi but would it be overly critical to question the quality of that final "tackle" where the central defender ends up taking out his own teamate? Probably just a case of Messi making it look worse than it was and it can't be easy with that guy coming at you in full flight.

Great acting job by the German player. But Pepe's headbutt was nuts.

It's almost go-time, people.

I'm getting a good feeling, which may be entirely irrational.

That's a real shame for Altidore.

I would take 1-0 halftime lead every time in this fixture.

Pro;
-Great start, and Ghana defense doesn't look tight at all

Cons;
-Altidore injury--an in-form Altidore would make a huge difference for this team
-Simply inept possession play for a 30-minute stretch. Absorb an attack then give it right back...
-The most ineffective half from Michael Bradley I can ever recall seeing
