Game night for me is the division one going between the Wings and Blues. A tight game as the home team just came back from 0-2 deficit and now are ahead by a goal. Just love watching the brand of hockey they play, they just never panic no matter what.

Whenever the Sharks and Canucks play, it always turns into a fast and furious game and last night at the tank the game did nothing to lessen the brewing loathing both teams are fostering for each other. Down 0-2, SJ managed to tie the game and had a glorious chance to win it late in the third with a 4 on 3 PP, but their special teams looked like the Ice Dragons' PP.

In OT, 'Nucks managed to win the tight affair and if the realignment goes through next season, there's going to be more intense games among these two teams.

Getting ready to watch the Winter Classic Alumni game :) should be very cool. 66 year old Bernie Parent in goal and the return of Lindros are just a few things I'm looking forward to.

Good atmosphere, nice to see the big E and Bobby Clarke burying the hatchet. Good to see S. Podein there too.

As a guy who watched him as a kid , even though I hated him then( :P ), I gotta say I loved the Parent saves.

WAS AWESOME!

In the world juniors, I enjoyed team Canada handing team USA a loss on their way out of big boy hockey for the tourney. 8)

The Winter Classic has been pushed back to 3PM EST and as usual there's no goalie controversial in Philly land 8) as Bryzgalov sounded sarcastically disappointed for not starting.

Bryz really has no right to announce who's starting before the coach, and no right to complain about being benched when his last four performances have been awful.

We should have kept Mike Richards and never signed Bryzgalov. Bob plus a cheap backup would have been better in goal, and the Flyers would have the best forwards in the league.

Bryzgalov acting like this is childish and disrespectful. It's fine to have some struggles and adjustments, but this is unacceptable.

As for the signing in general, the decision to give a 9 year contract is looking really bad right now, but I guess they have 8.5 years to figure it out! I will say however, the notion that in the offseason they should've decided to hand the reins to Bob and merely signed a cheap backup is completely unrealistic.

I agree Bryz should have never told the media first....definitely the wrong move and I'm sure Lavy will let him know how wrong it was. That being said, I'm not jumping ship on Bryz. It's been a poor half a season for him but his track record tells us he isn't this bad. If he turns it around and the Flyers make a cup run no one will remember ripping him.

Embarrassed by the few dumb ass fans booing the Canadian National anthem - ridiculous. Alcohol and ignorance = pathetic. Sad thing is they don't realize that 80% of their team's players are Canadian.

One signing the Flyers can't complain about is the one of J. Jagr. Dude is almost 40? and still got some wheels as he demonstrated splitting the Rangers D in a set up play but King Lundqvist looks very strong so far stopping an early breakaway by C. Giroux.

Fun first period. Great crowd. Ice seems to be in good shape. So far it looks like the NHL is going to pull off another successful Winter Classic. You really get a sense of how small the NHL rink is when it's in the middle of a baseball field. Sure wish they would go to the international size and open things up a bit.

And with that, I would guarantee you that the percentage of players getting concussed will be much less than the current state.

It could be argued that a bigger ice would give players more space to gain momentum and give even bigger hits. Of course, it would also give players more space to avoid other players. Not sure how it would pan out, but its worth a try IMO just because players are so much bigger now than in the past and the ice seems so crowded.

They would have to remove far too many of the high priced seats for betmans liking.

Plus it would put far too many no skating ability goons out of work and betman has showed us by his INactions how the scum of the league are his favorite players.

Great game...the Rangers need to stop drop and suck Henrik Lundqvist. He stood on his head.

3 unanswered by the Rangers is tough to take but oh well. With all the hoopla it still adds up to just one game...two points. I can see these two meeting in the playoffs at some point. F@ck NY.
