I guess reality is starting to set in already with those that saw the Gamespot one hour long gameplay video.

"That really didn't look impressive to me, tracks looked bland, lots of aliasing on the cars, and the lighting was very basic and nothing like what I was led to believe it would look like. I haven't finished watching the video yet but that Go-Cart race looked particularly bad, If it's not deep and there're only a few Go-Cart tracks, then what is it doing in a GT game? Also the menus look horrible.

I know it's hard to judge the physics off a video, but the man playing it said himself that bouncing off cars was an effective strategy, try doing that in real life and see where that gets you... just for PK..
To me this looks like GT4 in HD with lots of half-assed features added to it no one will like."

"This makes me sad, but, I'm am not at all impressed with this game. What have they been doing for five years? I would much rather have had interior and damage models for all cars over having Nascar and go-carts. You have blu-ray, unlimited funds, and 5+ years; use it. Ground textures look very sub-par. I've been a huge GT fan since 2, but I'm finding myself disappointed the more I see. I hope I'm wrong though!"

"Im sorry, but as a hardcore ps3 fanboy i must say, im not impressed, the textures and detail on the background and boring and bland as hell!. 4 (+) years and 800 of the cars have no cockpit views? and even after a 45 minute install there are still some bad load times....i hoped for this to be better say i could say crew u xbots Forza aint got nothing on GT5, but after this....im just going to wait and see the sales figures."
