I got a quick game in this morning, didn't notice any huge changes, I'll need to see how my injured players do after a few games.

My Seahawks did clinch their division though!

What are everyone's thoughts on the CPU downloading plays?

I see they have added a toggle to turn that off.. I kind of like it on, but I didn't know what you would benefit by turning that feature off? Seems like to me that's the only way the CPU can expand their playbooks.

I kind of like it, although it confused the heck out of me the first time I went to steal a play and it said "created play". I thought, "created by who?"

I wonder if any AI has downloaded my play?

I got a chance to play it today. I tried a quick game and some fun with it. I can't figure out how to download EA's rosters. :(

hehe.. great directions, huh?

Post patch this game is a winner so far.. really loving it!

Fired Linehan and came aboard as the new Rams HC. I made the GM happy by trading for Deuce McAllister to backup Jackson. Beat the Titans, 31-10 in our first preseason game and I've gone from a 42 approval rating to a 55 thus far.

It's amazing how many really good games are starting to add up on the next gen consoles!

Yup I went right you said they where at. I've only played a quick game and I thought it was rather immersive. I was playing as the lowly Dolphins. I was looking on the screen for nickel and dime packages and couldn't find them. Do they exist?

I do like the amount and variety of penalties called.

This is certainly the most immersive football game I've played. I feel more connected to the players and the play on the field than I do in other games where I actually control the players movements.

In my last game, since I had clinched the division, I sat Matt Hasselbeck down for a few possessions. Man, what a difference between my first and second string quarterbacks. I better pray he doesn't go down!

Has anyone been fired yet and have to move to a new team? My rating is at 95 currently so I won't see that option for a while... I hope.

Not sure Rod.. I let my DC call the defensive plays.

I thought about letting my DC and OC call the plays but then it would basically turn into a CPU vs CPU game. I wish HC '09 used the improved Madden 09 graphics.

I can see myself just buying HC 2010 instead of Madden next year. I still have yet to finish a 5 min Qtr. game as I get totally bored by half time.. 8O

Now that the patch has been released, I am continuing my season.

In my third game my revamped Ravens (drafted DMac and signed Faneca in the offseason) squandered a lead to let the Browns tie it with 55 seconds to go in the game. On the ensuing kickoff, I am planning how to get the needed yards to get into safe FG position when McAlister breaks off a TD return. Now I'm 3-0 with my week 4 matchup against the Steelers looming.

The game is engrossing as you really get behind the performances of individual players.

I trust the patch is as advertised, although in my first game under the patch, I was 1/3 on field goals with Stover (field goal completion was a sticking point with me as Stover seemed to lack strength and accuracy). My misses were from 37 and 49. IRL, Stover has missed 1 (of 42) from 39 or below since 2006, although he's missed 2 from 40+ this year.

Definitely love the game, though.

I have noticed a significan decrease in the amount of fumbles since the patch. I drafted Chris Johnson, and despite having decent ratings he would have bizarre games where he'd fumble 5-6 times. None of that anymore.

I'm loving the game. It's especially cool when you see a rookie or FA that you signed break out and do something.

Playing the Bears I re-signed Briggs, traded for Vince Young and then drafted Chris Johnson and several young WR's. So far I'm 3-1, with my only loss to the Colts by a FG in OT.

I'm like Martz.. I do all the offensive play calling, but I like to let my DC do his thing.. plus it speeds the game up quite a bit. We actually had 8 sacks against the Titans, so I like what Haslett has done so far.
